Cédric Wermuth (born 19 February 1986) is a Swiss politician and the co-president of the Social Democratic Party of Switzerland (SP), for which he represents the canton of Aargau in the National Council of Switzerland. He is a former president of the Young Socialists of Switzerland (JUSO) and also a former vice president of the SP. Early life and education Wermuth was born 19 February 1986 in the canton of Bern in the Jegenstorf municipality. He is the oldest son of Otto and Laurence Wermuth, who met while both working as social workers and curative educators. His brother Yann is younger by three years. Jochen Wermuth (born 13 December 1969) is a German climate impact investor, who serves on the steering committee of the "DivestInvest" investor association to which asset owners and managers with some $40 trillion of assets have committed as of 2021. He is the founder and Chief Investment Officer of Wermuth Asset Management, a German family office and investment advisory firm committed to sustainable investments. Rut Wermuth-Burak is a Polish survivor of the Nazi Holocaust, whose life story was published in Polish as "Spotkałam Ludzi", ("Encounters with the Decent") in 2002, and in English as "Leap for Life" in 2010. Early life Rut Wermuth was born in 1928 in the small town of Kołomyja, Stanislawowskie in eastern Poland. She was born to Jewish parents who ran a delicatessen in the center of the town, and kept a comfortable middle-class household. Rut had two older brothers- Pawel and Israel (nicknamed Salek). Though Rut's formal education was interrupted by the Soviet invasion of Poland in 1939 and the German invasion of Poland in 1941, the books that her brothers provided inspired a lifelong love of reading, and later influenced her career path.
