Wenjiashi Town () is an urban town in Liuyang, Hunan, People's Republic of China. it had a population of 53,800 and an area of . It borders the towns of Zhonghe and Yonghe in the north, Wanzai County in the east, Chengtanjiang Town in the west, and Yichun and Pingxiang in the south. History Wenjiashi is located at the border of Hunan and Jiangxi and it was the place where forces gathered during the Autumn Harvest Uprising. Yang Yong (general)
Yang Yong (; 28 October 1913 – 6 January 1983) was a general in the People's Liberation Army of China. He served as the secretary of the Secretariat of the Chinese Communist Party between September 1982 and January 1983, and governor of Guizhou, from January 1950 to April 1951. Life Yang Yong was born Yang Shijun () in Wenjiashi Town of Liuyang, Hunan province, Republic of China. In 1926, Yang joined the Young Pioneers of China and served as the captain. The Autumn Harvest Uprising was an insurrection that took place in Hunan and Kiangsi (Jiangxi) provinces of China, on September 7, 1927, led by Mao Tse-tung, who established a short-lived Hunan Soviet. After initial success, the uprising was brutally put down. Mao continued to believe in the rural strategy but concluded that it would be necessary to form a party army.
