Weldon (Canada 2016 Census, 2016 population: ) is a List of villages in Saskatchewan, village in the Provinces and territories of Canada, Canadian province of Saskatchewan within the Rural Municipality of Kinistino No. 459 and Division No. 15, Saskatchewan, Census Division No. 15. The area is part of the aspen parkland biome. The village is located north of Saskatchewan Highway 3, Highway 3 at the midway point between the cities of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Prince Albert and Melfort, Saskatchewan. A village is a type of incorporated urban municipality in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. A village is created from an organized hamlet by the Minister of Municipal Affairs by ministerial order via section 51 of ''The Municipalities Act'' if the community has: *been an organized hamlet for three or more years; *a population of 100 or more; *50 or more dwellings or businesses; and *a taxable assessment base that meets a prescribed minimum. Saskatchewan has 250 villages that had a cumulative population of 41,514 and an average population of 166 in the 2016 Census. Saskatchewan Highway 302
Highway 302 is a highway in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. It runs from the northern terminal of the Weldon Ferry, which connects to Highway 682 across the South Saskatchewan River, to a dead end near the Nisbet Provincial Forest. Highway 302 is about long. Highway 302 goes eastward from the South Saskatchewan River, passing near the communities of Birson, Fir Ridge, Cecil, and Cudworth Junction. It then enters the city of Prince Albert as 15th Street. Within Prince Albert, Highway 302 connects with Highway 2 and Highway 3. West of Prince Albert, it passes through the Prince Albert Settlement and near the community of Lily Plain before ending. The 2016 Canadian census was an enumeration of Canadian residents, which counted a population of 35,151,728, a change from its 2011 population of 33,476,688. The James Smith First Nation ( cr, ᓂᐦᑖᐏᑭᐦᒋᑲᓂᕽ ''nihtâwikihcikanihk'', meaning: ''at the place of good growth'') is a Plains Cree Indigenous band government whose reserve is north of Melfort, Saskatchewan, Canada. James Smith has two reserves, James Smith 100 and Cumberland 100A. James Smith has a current population of 2,412, with the on-reserve population estimated to be at 1,592 members.
