"Welcome to the Family" is a song by the American heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold. It was released on October 19, 2010, as the second single from their studio album '' Nightmare''. It is the band's second single released without former drummer The Rev, who died on December 28, 2009. In Avenged Sevenfold's "making of" series on YouTube, ''In the Studio'', lead singer M. Shadows and bassist Johnny Christ say that The Rev wrote most of the song and Shadows finished it when they started to record the album. The song is available as DLC in the video game ''Rock Band 3''. Avenged Sevenfold (abbreviated as A7X) is an American heavy metal band from Huntington Beach, California, formed in 1999. The band's current lineup consists of lead vocalist M. Shadows, rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist Zacky Vengeance, lead guitarist and backing vocalist Synyster Gates, bassist and backing vocalist Johnny Christ, and drummer Brooks Wackerman. Avenged Sevenfold are known for their diverse rock sound and dramatic imagery in album covers and merchandise. "Seize the Day" is a power ballad by American heavy metal music, heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold. It was released on July 11, 2006, as a promotional single for their third studio album, ''City of Evil''. Additionally, the song was released on 27 July 2010, as a downloadable track for the video game ''Rock Band 2'', along with "Nightmare (Avenged Sevenfold song), Nightmare" and "Scream (Avenged Sevenfold song), Scream". Music video The video depicts a couple in love and expecting a child. Matt's friends (the rest of Avenged Sevenfold) come to his house to make plans to rob a liquor store. Ted Jensen (born September 19, 1954) is an American mastering engineer, known for having mastered many recordings, including the Eagles' ''Hotel California'', Green Day's '' American Idiot'' and Norah Jones' ''Come Away with Me''. Biography Ted Jensen was born to Carl and Margaret (Anning) Jensen, both of whom were musicians. Carl had studied at Yale University. Margaret went to Oberlin College & Conservatory and Skidmore College and was also a pilot. Carl and Margaret met on a train while going to a choral workshop. Andy Wallace (born 1947 in New Jersey) is an American music studio producer, audio and mixing engineer with a long track record of productions. Over the years, he focused exclusively on mixing.
