Weightlifting At The 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games
The weightlifting tournament at the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games in Konya was held between 11–15 August 2022. The weightlifting competition took place at TÜYAP Konya International Fair Center in Konya. The Games were originally scheduled to take place from 20 to 29 August 2021 in Konya, Turkey. In May 2020, the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF), who are responsible for the direction and control of the Islamic Solidarity Games, postponed the games as the 2020 Summer Olympics were postponed to July and August 2021, due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. TÜYAP Konya International Fair Center ( tr, TÜYAP Konya Uluslararası Fuar Merkezi) is an international trade fair and convention center of the fair organizer TÜYAP based in Konya, Turkey. The venue occasionally hosts also indoor sports events The fair ground is locatedat Fevzi Çakmak neighborhood of Karatay district in Konya, Turkey. It has covered area and open-air exhibition area. It features press, VIP and administration rooms, two restaurants for 600 visitors in addition to three conference and meeting rooms with a seating capacity of 800. Its parking lot is capable of holding 6,000 vehicles. It has also a helipad. Kaan Kahriman
Kaan Kahriman (born 12 September 2004) is a Turkish weightlifter competing in the 67 kg division. Personal life He attended Mareşal Fevzi Çakmak Middle School in his hometown Antalya, and Eryaman Şehit Ertan Akgül Anatolian High School in Eryaman, Etimesgut, Ankara. After completing his secondary education, he started studying in the Sport Science Faculty at Bartın University. Sport career Kahriman received the bronze medal in the 62 kg total event at the 2018 European Youth Weightlifting Championships held in San Donato Milanese , Italy.
