Mukhammadkodir Toshtemirov
Mukhammadkodir Toshtemirov (born 17 September 2001) is an Uzbekistani weightlifter. He won the bronze medal in the men's 81kg event at the 2023 World Weightlifting Championships held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Toshtemirov won the silver medal in the men's 81kg event at the 2020 Asian Weightlifting Championships held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. He also won the gold medal in his event at the 2021 Junior World Weightlifting Championships, also held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Career In 2018, Toshtemirov won the silver medal in the 77kg event at the Summer Youth Olympics held in Buenos Aires, Argentina. That year, he also competed in the men's 73 kg event at the 2018 World Weightlifting Championships held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. He also competed in men's 81kg event at the 2019 World Weightlifting Championships held in Pattaya, Thailand. Olympic Weightlifting
Olympic weightlifting, or Olympic-style weightlifting (officially named Weightlifting), is a sport in which athletes compete in lifting a barbell loaded with weight plates from the ground to overhead, with each athlete trying to successfully lift the heaviest weights. Athletes compete in two specific ways of lifting the barbell overhead: these are the snatch and the clean and jerk. The ''snatch'' is a wide-grip lift, in which the weighted barbell is lifted overhead in one motion. The ''clean and jerk'' is a combination lift, in which the weight is first taken from the ground to the front of the shoulders (the clean), and then from the shoulders to overhead (the jerk). The 2018 Summer Youth Olympics ( es, Juegos Olímpicos de la Juventud de 2018), officially known as the III Summer Youth Olympic Games, and commonly known as Buenos Aires 2018, were an international sports, cultural, and educational event held from 6 to 18 October 2018 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. 2022 World Weightlifting Championships
The 2022 World Weightlifting Championships was a weightlifting competition held in Bogotá, Colombia in December 2022. It was scheduled to be held in Chongqing, China but this changed in March 2022 as a result of COVID-19 measures in China. The new location was announced in April 2022. It was the first time Colombia hosted the World Weightlifting Championships. The event served as a qualification event for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France. Weightlifters from Russia and Belarus did not compete after a ban as a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games
The 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games ( tr, 2021 İslami Dayanışma Oyunları) were the 5th edition of the event held from 9 to 18 August 2022 at Konya, Turkey under the aegis of Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF). It was the first time in history that the event was organised by the Turkish Olympic Committee.
