Weightlifting, for the 2017 Bolivarian Games, took place from 18 November to 22 November 2017. Colombia took 28 gold medals to win the event. Yenny Sinisterra (born 4 May 2000) is a Colombian weightlifter. She won the silver medal in the women's 55 kg event at the 2019 Pan American Games held in Lima, Peru. A month earlier, at the 2019 Junior World Weightlifting Championships held in Suva, Fiji, she won the silver medal in the women's 55kg event. Yaniuska Isabel Espinosa (born 5 December 1986) is a Venezuelan weightlifter who competes in the +75 kg division. María Fernanda Valdés Paris (born 17 March 1992) is a Chilean weightlifter. She won the silver medal at the 2011 Pan American Games in the 75 kg event and also at the 2015 Pan American Games in the 75 kg event.
