Grand Olympic Auditorium
The Grand Olympic Auditorium is a former sports venue in southern Downtown Los Angeles, California. The venue was built in 1924 at 1801 South Grand Avenue, now just south of the Santa Monica Freeway. The grand opening of the Olympic Auditorium was on August 5, 1925, and was a major media event, attended by such celebrities as Jack Dempsey and Rudolph Valentino. One of the last major boxing and wrestling arenas still in existence, the venue now serves as a worship space for the Korean-American evangelical church, "Glory Church of Jesus Christ". Carlo Galimberti
Carlo Galimberti (2 July 1894 – 10 August 1939) was an Italian weightlifter who competed in the 1924 Summer Olympics, in the 1928 Summer Olympics and in the 1932 Summer Olympics. Biography Galimberti grew up in Rosario, Argentina, as son of Italian immigrants, and came back to Milan, Italy, after the First World War. He won a gold medal in the middleweight class in 1924, a silver medal in the middleweight class in 1928 and another silver medal in the middleweight class in 1932. Josef Straßberger (August 20, 1894 – October 10, 1950) was a German Olympic weightlifting, weightlifter who competed at the 1928 Summer Olympics, 1928 and 1932 Summer Olympics, 1932 Olympic games, Olympic Games. Jaroslav Skobla
Jaroslav Skobla (16 April 1899 – 22 November 1959) was a Czechoslovakian weightlifter. After winning a world light-heavyweight title in 1923 he was a favorite at the 1924 Olympics, but finished in a mere eighth place. Career

At the 1932 Olympics, Duey won the bronze medal in the light-heavyweight division with ease however, he was not close to beating the first and second place competitors. This was Duey's only medal that he had won in an international competition.


Death

Duey died on February 13, 1993, at the age of 84 in
