Wedding TV
Wedding TV was a woman's lifestyle television channel broadcast in the United Kingdom. Separate versions of the channel were available in Poland and Italy. The channel claims to be the first TV channel of its kind, concentrating on love, life, relationships and weddings. The focus of the channel is primarily weddings and brides though there are programmes on fashion, beauty, celebrities and travel. History Wedding TV was co-founded by Mirek Grabiec, Ben Watts, Marc Conneely and Tony Prince, a former DJ for Radio Luxembourg. In August 2007, Wedding TV became the UK's first channel to eliminate tape entirely from delivery to play-out, significantly reducing the cost of production. In 2008 Wedding TV won the Broadcast Digital Channel Award for the ''Best Specialist Channel''. On 25 November 2011, Wedding TV Limited entered administration. David Van Day
David Van Day (born David Paul Day, 28 November 1956) is an English singer, songwriter and politician who was formerly a member of the pop music, pop vocal duet (music), duo Dollar (group), Dollar. He was also a member of the 1970s vocal group Guys 'n' Dolls (along with his Dollar partner Thereza Bazar), and two latter-day line-ups of Bucks Fizz in the 1990s and 2000s. Biography Van Day was born David Paul Day on 28 November 1956 in Brighton, Sussex, England. Having been a member of song-and-dance troupe ''Dougie Squires, The Young Generation'', in 1974, he successfully auditioned for the then-new vocal group Guys 'n' Dolls. Wedding TV Asia was a woman's lifestyle television channel broadcast in the United Kingdom, on the Sky platform. It launched on 1 July 2009, replacing Wedding TV +1. Wedding TV Asia was the first channel in the UK to be dedicated to Asian weddings. Double-decker Bus
A double-decker bus or double-deck bus is a bus that has two storeys or decks. They are used for mass transport in the United Kingdom, the United States, New Zealand, Europe, Asia and also in cities such as Sydney; the best-known example is the red London bus, namely the AEC Routemaster. Early double-deckers put the driver in a separate cab. Passenger access was via an open platform at the rear and a bus conductor collected fares. Modern double-deckers have a main entrance door at the front and the driver takes fares, thus halving the number of workers aboard, but slowing the boarding process. The rear open platform, popular with passengers, was abandoned for safety reasons, as there was a risk of passengers falling when running and jumping onto the bus. AEC Routemaster
The AEC Routemaster is a Front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout, front-engined double-decker bus that was designed by London Transport Executive, London Transport and built by the Associated Equipment Company (AEC) and Park Royal Vehicles. The first prototype was completed in September 1954 and the last one was delivered in 1968. The layout of the vehicle was conventional for the time, with a half-cab, front-mounted engine and open rear platform, although the coach version was fitted with rear platform doors. Forward entrance vehicles with platform doors were also produced as was a unique front-entrance prototype with the engine mounted transversely at the rear. Land's End ( kw, Penn an Wlas or ''Pedn an Wlas'') is a headland and tourist and holiday complex in western Cornwall, England, on the Penwith peninsula about west-south-west of Penzance at the western end of the A30 road. To the east of it is the English Channel, and to the west the Celtic Sea. Land's End is the most westerly point of mainland England.
