"Weak" is a song by British rock band Skunk Anansie, released as the fourth and final single from their debut album, ''Paranoid & Sunburnt'' (1995), on 15 January 1996. The song is one of Skunk Anansie's well known releases, and often a favourite at festivals. Skin performs a slower, more ballad-like version at many of her solo gigs. The song has also been covered by Rod Stewart on his 1998 album, ''When We Were the New Boys''. Skunk Anansie
Skunk Anansie are a British rock band whose members include Skin (lead vocals, guitar), Cass (bass, guitar, backing vocals), Ace (guitar, backing vocals) and Mark Richardson (drums and percussion). Skunk Anansie formed in 1994, disbanded in 2001 and reformed in 2009. The name "Skunk Anansie" is taken from Akan folk tales of Anansi the spider-man of Ghana, with "Skunk" added to "make the name nastier". Hammer & Tongs is the pseudonym of British director and producer duo, promo and film director Garth Jennings and producer Nick Goldsmith, as well as the name of their production company. Best known for their work on music videos for Blur ("Coffee & TV") and Supergrass ("Pumping on Your Stereo"), Hammer & Tongs have moved on to directing movies, their debut being the 2005 film version of ''The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy''. Due to the success of his debut feature Jennings raised £3.5 million to produce ''Son of Rambow''. ''DV'' (''Dagblaðið Vísir'') is an online newspaper in Iceland published by Torg ehf. It came into existence as a daily newspaper in 1981 when two formerly independent newspapers, Vísir and Dagblaðið, merged. Early on it was one of the largest newspapers in Iceland and at one point had a 64% readership in Iceland. In the 1990s its readership started to dwindle and in 2003 its publisher was declared bankrupt. It was resurrected a week later by the publisher of Fréttablaðið. In 2006 it was changed from a daily newspaper into a weekly one. Since then it has changed publishers regularly and in 2018 its publisher, DV ehf., went bankrupt. Although Skunk Anansie previously released "Little Baby Swastikkka" as a limited release, it was not regarded as an actual single. "Selling Jesus" is a song in protest of religion and politics, and in particular Christianity. The single is taken from their debut album, ''Paranoid & Sunburnt'', and reached number 46 on the UK Singles Chart. Three added B-sides were included on the CD release, with track 4 'Skunk Song' being written by Ace, R. France, C. Lewis and Skin. ''When We Were the New Boys'' is the eighteenth studio album by Rod Stewart released on 29 May 1998. It was Stewart's last studio album to be released by Warner Bros. Records.
