We Can Do It (album)
''We Can Do It'' is the second studio album by the English pop band The Rubettes, released on the State Records label in March 1975. The album reached no 41 in the UK charts and contained two UK top 10 hits – " I Can Do It" and "Juke Box Jive". In 1992, Dice Records (France) released the Rubettes' first two albums (''Wear It's 'At'' and ''We Can Do It'') as a double CD set. In 2015, Caroline Records released the album ''We Can Do It'', including two bonus tracks, as part of a box CD set of the Rubettes' first five studio albums. The Rubettes
The Rubettes are an English pop/glam rock band put together in 1974 after the release of "Sugar Baby Love", a recording assembled of studio session musicians in 1973 by the songwriting team of Wayne Bickerton, the then head of A&R at Polydor Records, and his co-songwriter, Tony Waddington, after their doo-wop and 1950s American pop-influenced songs had been rejected by a number of existing acts. Waddington paired the group with manager John Morris, the husband of singer Clodagh Rodgers and under his guidance, the band duly emerged at the tail end of the glam rock movement, wearing trademark white suits and cloth caps on stage. Their first release, "Sugar Baby Love" was an instant hit remaining at number one in the United Kingdom for four weeks in May 1974, while reaching number 37 on the US chart that August, and remains their best-known record. Caroline Records is a record label originally founded in 1973. Initially founded in the United Kingdom to showcase British progressive rock groups, the label ceased releasing titles in 1976, and then re-emerged in the United States in 1986. The label released the work of American punk rock, thrash metal and new wave music bands. Caroline had a number of subsidiary labels, including Astralwerks, Gyroscope, Caroline Blue Plate, Beat the World, Scamp and Passenger. UK label The original Caroline record label started as a subsidiary of Richard Branson's Virgin Records from 1973 to 1976. Richard Anthony Hewson (born 17 November 1943) is an English producer, arranger, conductor and multi-instrumentalist, who created the studio group RAH Band. Career Hewson began in the late 1960s as an arranger, and has worked with musicians such as the Beatles ("I Me Mine" and "The Long and Winding Road"), the Bee Gees (''Melody''), James Taylor ("Carolina in My Mind"), Herbie Hancock, Clifford T. Electric Piano
An electric piano is a musical instrument which produces sounds when a performer presses the keys of a piano-style musical keyboard. Pressing keys causes mechanical hammers to strike metal strings, metal reeds or wire tines, leading to vibrations which are converted into electrical signals by magnetic pickups, which are then connected to an instrument amplifier and loudspeaker to make a sound loud enough for the performer and audience to hear. Unlike a synthesizer, the electric piano is not an electronic instrument. Instead, it is an electro-mechanical instrument. Some early electric pianos used lengths of wire to produce the tone, like a traditional piano. Mick Clarke (bassist)
Mick Clarke (born 19 June 1989 in Drogheda, Ireland) is an Irish footballer who is currently unattached. Clarke is a defender and plays as a right-back. Career Mick Clarke is a tough defender. He used to play for Irish team Kentstown before moving on to Drogheda United's U17 Team. Clarke made his Drogheda United senior debut in May 2007 in a 3-0 League of Ireland Cup defeat to Shamrock Rovers. In May 2008, he signed a professional contract with Drogheda United. Clarke made a number of first team starts towards the end of the 2008 season. In 2009, Clarke started Drogheda's first league game of 2009 season against Derry City but following this he struggled to hold down a place in their first team. "Juke Box Jive", by English band The Rubettes, was the lead single from their second album '' We Can Do It''. As with their two previous singles, it was written by the songwriting team of Wayne Bickerton and Tony Waddington and produced by Bickerton. The single reached number 3 in the UK charts. "Juke Box Jive" was one of the four demonstration recordings recorded by session musicians and singers in October 1973 which led to the formation of the Rubettes - the others being " Sugar Baby Love", "Tonight" and "Sugar Candy Kisses" (which became a hit for Mac and Katie Kissoon). Pop Rock

"I Can Do It" was the fourth single released by the English band The Rubettes and the second single from their album We can do it.
