Wayne Hussey

He is best known as the lead singer of The Mission, and the guitarist with The Sisters of Mercy. Biography Hussey grew up in Bristol. He was influenced at a young age by Marc Bolan and his band T. Rex, and was thus inspired to become a guitarist. Brought up in the LDS Church, he rebelled against his parents' wishes that he serve as a missionary and moved to Liverpool in the late 1970s to join the scene around Eric's Club, a noted nightclub of the time. Hussey started to perform, most notably with Pauline Murray and The Invisible Girls, with whom he started songwriting. Eric's Club
Eric's Club was a music club in Liverpool, England. It opened on 1 October 1976 in the basement of The Fruit Exchange in Victoria Street, with performances by The Runaways and The Sex Pistols (their only Liverpool gig) before soon moving around the block to its long-term site on Mathew Street opposite The Cavern Club where The Beatles and other bands of the 1960s played, and became notable for hosting early performances by many punk and post-punk bands. Simon Hinkler
Simon Thomas Hinkler (born 13 November 1959) is an English guitarist, keyboard player, songwriter and producer from Sheffield, most notable for being the lead guitarist for the British rock group The Mission from 1986 to 1990. Early musical career Hinkler formed his first band, TV Product, while working at Killis cleaners, Sheffield in 1978. The other members of the group were his housemate Tony Perrin and three friends from the polytechnic. After many line-up changes Hinkler left the band to join Artery on keyboards. He was part of the line-up which recorded the group's most well known songs, including "Into the Garden", which reached number four on John Peel's festive 50 for 1981. Craig David Adams (born 4 April 1962) is an English musician, Bassist, bass guitarist and songwriter. Over his career he has worked with a variety of rock bands, the most notable being the Sisters of Mercy and the Mission (band), the Mission. Biography Craig David Adams was born in Otley, Yorkshire, on 4 April 1962, and was brought up in Leeds. Adams left school to pursue a career in music and initially played keyboards in a local band the Expelairs, who released a handful of singles. He left the five-piece due to musical differences and took up bass. Inspired by Motörhead he began to channel his bass through distortion-effects. After a short conversation in a local bar with Andrew Eldritch he joined The Sisters of Mercy.
