Wayne Faucher
Wayne Faucher is an American comic book inker. He is known mostly for his ink work on the Batman family of comics for DC Comics and for Spider-Man titles for Marvel Comics. Career Raised in Rhode Island and a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, he worked for years as a graphic designer in New York City and Boston before setting his sights on working in comics. He started in the industry in 1995, with the DC Comics series Impulse. Since then, Faucher has worked on dozens of titles for a variety of publishers. Pencillers with whom he's frequently paired include: Humberto Ramos, Alex Maleev, Mark Buckingham, Dick Giordano, Mike Deodato, Chad Hardin, Alberto Ponticelli and others. Comic Book
A comic book, also called comicbook, comic magazine or (in the United Kingdom and Ireland) simply comic, is a publication that consists of comics art in the form of sequential juxtaposed panels that represent individual scenes. Panels are often accompanied by descriptive prose and written narrative, usually, dialogue contained in word balloons emblematic of the comics art form. "Comic Cuts" was a British comic published from 1890 to 1953. It was preceded by "Ally Sloper's Half Holiday" (1884) which is notable for its use of sequential cartoons to unfold narrative. These British comics existed alongside of the popular lurid "Penny dreadfuls" (such as "Spring-heeled Jack"), boys' " Story papers" and the humorous Punch (magazine) which was the first to use the term "cartoon" in its modern sense of a humorous drawing. Mike Deodato
Mike Deodato (; born May 23, 1963), sometimes credited as Mike Deodato Jr., is the professional pseudonym of Brazilian comic book artist Deodato Taumaturgo Borges Filho. Early life Mike Deodato was born on May 23, 1963 in Campina Grande, Paraíba, Brazil. He is the son of comic artist Deodato Borges. Career One of Deodato's first works was a 1993 photo-realistic comic book adaptation of the television series ''Beauty and the Beast'' published by Innovation Publishing. Deodato became famous in the North American comic book industry for his work with writer William Messner-Loebs on ''Wonder Woman'', during which he co-created the character Artemis of Bana-Mighdall. After his Wonder Woman project he had a short stint as the penciller of ''Thor'', where he worked firstly with writer Warren Ellis and then again with writer William Messner-Loebs. The Spectacular Spider-Man
''The Spectacular Spider-Man'' is a comic book and magazine series starring Spider-Man and published by Marvel Comics. Following the success of Spider-Man's original series, ''The Amazing Spider-Man'', Marvel felt the character could support more than one title. This led the company in 1968 to launch a short-lived magazine, the first to bear the ''Spectacular'' name. In 1972, Marvel more successfully launched a second Spider-Man ongoing series, ''Marvel Team-Up'', in which he was paired with other Marvel heroes. A third monthly ongoing series, ''Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man'', debuted in 1976.
