Road
A road is a linear way for the conveyance of traffic that mostly has an improved surface for use by vehicles (motorized and non-motorized) and pedestrians. Unlike streets, the main function of roads is transportation. There are many types of roads, including parkways, avenues, controlled-access highways (freeways, motorways, and expressways), tollways, interstates, highways, thoroughfares, and local roads. The primary features of roads include lanes, sidewalks (pavement), roadways (carriageways), medians, shoulders, verges, bike paths (cycle paths), and shared-use paths. Definitions Historically many roads were simply recognizable routes without any formal construction or some maintenance. The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) defines a road as "a line of communication (travelled way) using a stabilized base other than rails or air strips open to public traffic, primarily for the use of road motor vehicles running on their own wheels", whic ...

Way (machine Tool Element)
A way (sometimes known as a slideway, guideway, or bedway) is a type of linear bearing, specifically a linear plain bearing, in a machine tool. It facilitates precise linear motion along a given axis. A way is ground, scraped, or (less often) molded to be very flat, and ways often come in pairs to ensure a flat plane for the carriage or sliding element (slide) to move along smoothly. Ways are usually lubricated with way oil (a kind of machine oil specially made to adhere to the ways while vertical). Ways have been used since the 19th century and are a critical part of manufacturing processes, especially those requiring low tolerances such as machining. They have been made of various materials over the years, ranging from wood to cast iron, and nowadays including plastic alloys and special polymer materials. They are crafted with painstaking precision, usually being scraped into near total flatness with hand tools. This flatness is required to both provide good results in the manu ...

Screamer (album)
''Screamer'' is the sixth studio album by the American alternative rock band Third Eye Blind. It was released on October 18, 2019 by Mega Collider Records. Background Frontman Stephan Jenkins had made many different comments about the prospect of the band recording a sixth studio album prior to the release of ''Screamer''. As far back as 2012, Jenkins stated that the band would not ever make a sixth studio album, stating that after the release of their fifth studio album, 2015's ''Dopamine'', they would cease recording full albums in favor of touring and recording smaller EP releases. In the coming years, the band would focus on EP releases, including '' We Are Drugs'' in 2016, a cancelled EP entitled ''Summer Gods'' that was supposed to explore trap music in 2017, and an EP of cover songs, '' Thanks for Everything'', in 2018. Jenkins' stance on recording an album wavered at times in this era, sometimes referring to ''Summer Gods'' as an album and explaining that the recording o ...

Ways (album)
''Ways'' is the third album of the Japanese rock group Show-Ya. The album was released on 3 September 1986 in Japan. All the songs were arranged by Tadashi Namba & Show-Ya. Overview Despite being recorded only six months after their previous album '' Queendom'', this album manifests a strong progression both in cohesiveness of the musicians and sound. In fact, the arrangements and compositions are tighter as the result of a real group effort, while the sound of the album is very similar to what could be heard at a Show-Ya's live show at that time. On the contrary, the two poppier songs on the album "S・T・O・P (But I Can't...)" and the single "One Way Heart" were not composed by the band and are almost harbingers of next album ''Trade Lasts style. The single was also used as theme for a Japanese TV show. The hard rocker "Fairy" has since become a staple of every Show-Ya's live show. Track listing ;Side one #"Shot" ''(Miki Nakamura, Keiko Terada)'' – 4:17 #"Blow Away" ''(Mik ...
