Wax On Radio
Wax on Radio was an American alternative rock band from Chicago, Illinois. Wax on Radio was created in 2004 when singer Mikey Russell, bassist Harrison Taylor, guitarist Bob Buckstaff, keyboardist Scott Heatherly, and drummer Sammy Del Real met in the tiny suburban Chicago music scene, in and around the towns of Schaumburg and Lake Forest. The fivesome, came together through the recommendations of mutual friends, when Russell put out the word that he was looking to start a new band. Career Wax on Radio was signed to Downtown Records in 2006. Later that year, they released their debut album, ''Exposition''. In early 2007, they toured nationwide in the US opening for Forgive Durden and Brazil, following these dates with two months of touring nationwide, opening for The Ataris. The group received positive reviews from SPIN for their track "Today I Became A Realist" and from Rolling Stone for their live performances. Forgive Durden
Forgive Durden was an American indie rock band from Seattle, Washington, United States. They got their name from the novel ''Fight Club''. They were signed to Fueled by Ramen. Fueled by Ramen released Forgive Durden's first full-length album, ''Wonderland (Forgive Durden album), Wonderland'', on May 9, 2006. On January 27, 2008, lead singer Thomas Dutton announced on the band's blog that the other three members had decided to leave the band, citing personality conflicts as the primary reason. He also announced that his brother Paul had been helping him write and record a new album, ''Razia's Shadow: A Musical'' with the help of Gatsbys American Dream's Rudy Gajadhar playing drums, and Aaron Weiss from mewithoutYou as the narrator. The Dear Hunter
The Dear Hunter is an American progressive rock band originating in Providence, Rhode Island. It began as a side project of Casey Crescenzo when he was a member of the Receiving End of Sirens, before becoming his main band in 2006. The band's sound features a wide variety of instruments and styles. The Ataris are an American punk rock band from Anderson, Indiana. Formed in 1996, they released five studio albums between 1997 and 2007. Their best-selling album is ''So Long, Astoria'' (2003), which was certified gold. Their high-charting single is the cover song "The Boys of Summer (song), The Boys of Summer" from ''So Long, Astoria''. The only constant member throughout their history has been singer/songwriter/guitarist Kristopher Roe. Brazil was a post-hardcore and progressive rock band from Indiana, USA. Band history The band was formed as ''London'' in the summer of 2000 by the brothers Jonathon and Nicholas Newby. In early 2001 the band renamed themselves Brazil, taken from the Terry Gilliam film ''Brazil''. In 2002 the band signed a small contract with Fearless Records who released the ''Dasein'' EP. In 2004 they released their debut album ''A Hostage and the Meaning of Life'', also released by Fearless Records. The band later signed with Immortal Records to release ''The Philosophy of Velocity'' in 2006. In August 2007, Jonathon Newby left the band, resulting in the band breaking up.
