Waubonsie Valley High School
Waubonsie Valley High School (WVHS) is a public four-year high school in Aurora, Illinois, United States. It was established in 1975 and it is one of 3 high schools in Indian Prairie School District 204, along with Neuqua Valley High School and Metea Valley High School. History Indian Prairie Community Unit School District #204 (a unit district K-12) was formed in the fall of 1972. In December 1972 a referendum was passed to build and equip a high school at a projected cost of $8.2 million. A separate issue also passed to add a swimming pool. Construction on Waubonsie Valley High School began in the spring of 1973. In September 1975, Waubonsie Valley opened its doors for its first school year. 293 Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors attended the new high school. In addition, 7th and 8th graders were housed in the building (using the name Granger Junior High) until Hill Junior High (now Hill Middle School) opened in the Fall of 1981. Aurora is a city in the Chicago metropolitan area located partially in DuPage County, Illinois, DuPage, Kane County, Illinois, Kane, Kendall County, Illinois, Kendall, and Will County, Illinois, Will counties in the U.S. state of Illinois. Chris Schuler
Chris Schuler (born September 6, 1987) is an American former soccer player who last played for Orlando City in Major League Soccer. He is currently pursuing an events management career with US Soccer. Career College and amateur Schuler attended college at Creighton University. During his time there he won awards such as MVP at the US Youth Soccer National Championships in July 2006, Missouri Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Year, NSCAA Second-Team All-America and NSCAA All-Midwest Region First-Team. During his college years Schuler also played for Chicago Fire Premier in the USL Premier Development League. Professional Schuler was drafted in the third round (39th overall) of the 2010 MLS SuperDraft by Real Salt Lake. Steve Keller
Steve Keller is a retired American soccer midfielder who spent two seasons in the USISL and one in the National Professional Soccer League. In 1990, Keller, older brother of national team player Debbie Keller, graduated from Waubonsie Valley High School where he was a 1989 All Conference basketball player, a 1988 and 1989 All State soccer player and a 1989 All Midwest soccer player. He is a member of the WVHS Hall of Fame. He attended Indiana University, playing on the men's soccer team from 1991 to 1994. In 1994, Keller and his teammates fell to the Virginia Cavaliers in the final of the NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship. In 1995, Keller turned professional with the Rockford Raptors of the USISL. Michael Damian Thomas
Michael Damian Thomas is an American magazine editor and podcaster. Thomas has won seven Hugo Awards, a British Fantasy Award, and a Parsec Award as co-publisher and co-editor-in-chief of ''Uncanny Magazine'' with his wife, Lynne M. Thomas.
