Watersheds Of North America
Watersheds of North America are large drainage basins which drain to separate oceans, seas, gulfs, or endorheic basins. There are six generally recognized hydrological continental divides which divide the continent into seven principal drainage basins spanning three oceans (Arctic Ocean, Arctic, Atlantic Ocean, Atlantic and Pacific Ocean, Pacific) and one endorheic basin. The basins are the Atlantic Seaboard basin, the Gulf of Mexico basin, the Great Lakes-Saint Lawrence River, St. Lawrence basin, the Pacific basin, the Arctic basin, the Hudson Bay basin, and the Great Basin. Together, the principal basins span the continent with the exception of numerous smaller endorheic basins. Guzmán Basin
The Guzmán Basin is an endorheic basin of northern Mexico and the southwestern United States. It occupies the northwestern portion of Chihuahua in Mexico, and extends into southwestern New Mexico in the United States. Notable rivers of the Guzmán Basin are the Casas Grandes River, which empties into Lake Guzmán, the Santa Maria River, which empties into Lake Santa Maria, the Carmen River, and the Mimbres River of New Mexico. Grijalva River
