Watan Hamara Azad Kashmir
"Watan Hamārā Āzād Kashmīr" ( ur, ) is the national anthem adopted by Azad Kashmir, a region in the northern part of the Indian Subcontinent currently administered by Pakistan. It is based on a poem of the same name written in the mid-1960s by Hafeez Jaalandhari.Jalandhari also wrote the Kashmiri anthem Watan Hamara Azad Kashmir among several other patriotic songs during the Pak-India war in 1965. It was inspired during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965.He wrote many patriotic songs during the Indo Pakistani War of 1965. The Indo-Pakistani War of 1965 or the Second Kashmir War was a culmination of skirmishes that took place between April 1965 and September 1965 between Pakistan and India.
