Wat Chana Songkram

The temple is located at 77 Chakrabongse Road, it is an old monastery which was built before the first Rattanakosin period (before 1782). The former name is "Wat Klang Na" (วัดกลางนา; lit: ''temple in the middle of paddy field''), later the reign of King Phutthayotfa Chulalok (Rama I), Prince Maha Sura Singhanat (the king younger brother) granted Mon people and monks to lived in the area, renovated the temple to be resident of Mon monks. Tha Din Daeng Campaign
The Tha Din Daeng campaign ( th, สงครามท่าดินแดง, , literally 'Tha Din Daeng War') was a short conflict, occurring in 1786 in Tha Din Daeng, now in Kanchanaburi Province in western Thailand. The belligerents were King Bodawpaya of the Burmese Konbaung Dynasty, against Phraphutthayotfa Chulalok and Maha Sura Singhanat of the Rattanakosin Kingdom. Military Campaigns Prelude After many defeats in early 1786, King Bodawpaya retreated to Martaban. However, he retained some of his forces on the Tenasserim Coast waiting for the new campaigns. The traditional wars were usually conducted in dry season as the lands in the rainy season were swampy and ravaged with disease, making it unsuitable for marching and encampment. King Bodawpaya ordered the Burmese forces at Tavoy to retreat to Martaban under the command of Minhla Sithu, while Maha Thiri Thihathu was ordered to retreat from Mergui to Tavoy. Wat Kalayanamitr
Wat Kalayanamitr Varamahavihara ( th, วัดกัลยาณมิตรวรมหาวิหาร, , ) is a Buddhist temple (wat) in Bangkok, Thailand. The temple is located in Wat Kanlaya sub-district, on the Thonburi bank of the Chao Phraya River. The temple was established in 1825 by Chaophraya Nikonbodin (born To, th, เจ้าพระยานิกรบดินทร์ (โต)), a wealthy Thai Chinese trader, who donated the temple to Rama III. Chaophraya Nikonbodin was an ancestor of the Kalayanamitr family, whose descendants include Saprang Kalayanamitr. A poem inscribed in the temple reads: Wat Kalayanamitr Varamahavihara is one of three family temples of the Kalayanamitr family, along with Wat Rakhang and Wat Chakkrawatdirachawat Woramahawihan.
