Maria Wasti (born August 14, 1980) is a Pakistani film, television actress and host. She currently hosts the game show ''Croron Mein Khel'' on the Pakistani television channel BOL Entertainment. Biography Early years Maria Wasti was born in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. She spent her early years there before moving to Pakistan with her family. She is the niece of Rizwan Wasti and Tahira Wasti. Wasti's parents wanted her to be a doctor, but she preferred a career in entertainment. At the time, the only television network active in the country was the government-owned Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV). Rizwan Wasti
Syed Rizwan Wasti (1937 – January 24, 2011) was a Radio Pakistan, Karachi's radio news broadcaster and a film and television actor. Early life Rizwan Wasti was born in 1937 at Lahore but his family later moved to Karachi where he received his Bachelor of Law degree from Sindh Muslim Law College in Karachi. Career He first worked for Radio Pakistan as an English news broadcaster in the 1953 at age sixteen making made him the youngest newscaster of the sub-continent where he initially learned how to use and control his voice for news media broadcasts. He worked at Radio Pakistan for sixteen years. Wajahatullah Wasti (Urdu: وجاہت اللہ واسطی; born 11 November 1974) is a Pakistani cricketer. He is member of The National Selection Committee Pakistan Cricket Board . He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm offbreak bowler. Wasit ( ar, وَاسِط, Wāsiṭ, syr, ܘܐܣܛ) is an ancient city in Wasit Governorate, south east of Kut in eastern Iraq. History The city was built by al-Hajjaj ibn Yusuf in c. 702 CE on the west bank of the Tigris across from the historical city of Kashkar. Al-Hajjaj is said to have taken the doors for the citadel and the main mosque from Zanzaward. Al-Hajjaj died in Wasit in 714.
