Washington Hospital Center Line
The Hospital Center Line, designated Route D8, is a daily bus route operated by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority between Washington Union Station and MedStar Washington Hospital Center. The line operates every 20-30 minutes at all times. Route D8 trips are roughly 45 minutes. Route Description Route D8 operates daily between Washington Union Station and MedStar Washington Hospital Center connecting the hospital centers and Metrorail stations. The line also connects small neighborhoods to Metrorail stations. Route D8 currently operates out of Bladensburg division. In the Hospital Complex, Only northbound buses from Union Station stop at Washington Hospital Center and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Buses travel once through Washington Hospital Center. Rhode Island Avenue–Brentwood Station
Rhode Island Avenue (also known as Rhode Island Avenue–Brentwood) is a Washington Metro station in Washington, D.C. on the Red Line. The station is located in the Brentwood neighborhood of Northeast, on an elevated platform crossing Rhode Island Avenue NE (U.S. Route 1) History The station was built on land formerly part of the African-American Columbian Harmony Cemetery. When the Rhode Island Avenue – Brentwood Metro station was constructed in 1976, workers discovered that not all the bodies had been moved. At least five coffins were unearthed, and numerous bones. A plaque was affixed to a column near one of the station's entrances to commemorate the former cemetery. When a parking lot at the site was renovated in 1979, more bones and bits of cloth and coffins were unearthed. The Mount Pleasant Line, designated Routes 42 and 43, is a daily bus route in Washington, D.C., It was a streetcar line until the 1960s. Route Description and Service Both route 42 and 43 operates at nearly all hours of the day during the week, with slightly reduced hours on weekends. Stadium–Armory is a Washington Metro station located in Southeast, Washington, D.C. The station was opened on July 1, 1977, and is operated by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA). Stadium–Armory serves the Blue, Orange and Silver Lines. Dupont Circle station is an underground rapid transit station on the Red Line of the Washington Metro in Washington, D.C. Judiciary Square is a Washington Metro station in Washington, D.C. on the Red Line. It is located in the Judiciary Square neighborhood in the Northwest quadrant of the city, with entrances at 4th and D Street and 5th and F Street. The Oxon Hill–Suitland Line, designated Routes D12 & D14, are daily bus routes operated by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority between Southern Avenue station and Suitland station of the Green Line of the Washington Metro. The D12 operates every 20 minutes between 7AM and 9PM and 60 minutes after 9PM while the D14 operates every 24–30 minutes during the peak hours and every 60 minutes all other times. The Sibley Hospital–Stadium Armory Line, designated Route D6, is a daily bus route operated by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority between Stadium–Armory station of the Blue, Orange, and Silver Lines of the Washington Metro and Sibley Hospital in the Palisades neighborhood.
