Washington High School (WHS) is the oldest of the five comprehensive public high schools in Fremont, California, United States. It was established in 1893. It is a part of the Fremont Unified School District. Golf
Golf is a club-and-ball sport in which players use various clubs to hit balls into a series of holes on a course in as few strokes as possible. Golf, unlike most ball games, cannot and does not use a standardized playing area, and coping with the varied terrains encountered on different courses is a key part of the game. Bill Walsh (football Coach)
William Ernest Walsh (November 30, 1931 – July 30, 2007) was an American professional and college football coach. He served as head coach of the San Francisco 49ers and the Stanford Cardinal, during which time he popularized the West Coast offense. After retiring from the 49ers, Walsh worked as a sports broadcaster for several years and then returned as head coach at Stanford for three seasons. Walsh went 102–63–1 (wins-losses-ties) with the 49ers, winning 10 of his 14 postseason games along with six division titles, three NFC Championship titles, and three Super Bowls. He was named NFL Coach of the Year in 1981 and 1984. In 1993, he was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Lee Murchison
Ola Lee Murchison (April 16, 1938 – June 13, 2017) was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys. He played college football at the College of the Pacific. Early years Murchison lived in a house without any electricity or running water. He attended Washington High School, before transferring to Placer High School. He practiced football, basketball, and track. He also composed the school's alma mater song. He began playing organized football against his parents’ wishes as a sophomore. Mikhael Alexander Mercado McKinney (born January 26, 1992) is a Filipino-American professional basketball player who last played for Zamalek of the Egyptian Basketball Super League. He played college basketball for Sacramento State and was the first player in the school's division I history to be named conference player of the year and an honorable mention All-American. College career McKinney, a point guard from Fremont, California, started his college career for Ohlone College of the NJCAA. After a season there, he transferred to Sacramento State. Dennis Eckersley
Dennis Lee Eckersley (born October 3, 1954), nicknamed "Eck", is an American professional baseball pitcher and former color commentator. Between 1975 and 1998, he pitched in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Cleveland Indians, Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, Oakland Athletics, and St. Louis Cardinals. Eckersley had success as a starter, but gained his greatest fame as a closer, becoming the first of two pitchers in major league history to have both a 20- win season and a 50- save season in a career. Eckersley was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2004, his first year of eligibility. John Joseph Doyle (born March 16, 1966) is an American retired soccer player who played professionally in both Europe and the United States including the Western Soccer League, American Professional Soccer League and Major League Soccer. He was the 1995 A-League Defender of the Year and the 1996 MLS Defender of the Year. He also earned fifty-three caps with the U.S. national team between 1987 and 1994 including two games at the 1990 FIFA World Cup. The linemen of the team currently in possession of the ball are the offensive line, while linemen on the opposing team are the defensive line. Cheerleading is an activity in which the participants (called cheerleaders) cheer for their team as a form of encouragement. It can range from chanting slogans to intense physical activity. It can be performed to motivate sports teams, to entertain the audience, or for competition.
