Washington César Santos
Washington César Santos (January 3, 1960 – May 25, 2014) was a Brazilian footballer who played as a striker. He was born in Valença, Bahia State, and died in Curitiba. In his career (1980–1996) he played for several clubs: GalÃcia (1980 and 1995), Corinthians, Operário and Internacional (1981) Atlético Paranaense (1982–1983 and 1992), Fluminense (1983–1989, eighth best top goalscorer in club history with 118 goals in 311 matches), Guarani (1989–1990), Botafogo (1990–1991) União São João (1991–1992) Desportiva-ES (1992) Santa Cruz (1993–1994) Figueiras (1994), Fortaleza (1996) and Foz de Iguaçu (1996). Fluminense Football Club (), known as Fluminense, is a Brazilian sports club best known for its professional football team that competes in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, the first tier of Brazilian football and the Campeonato Carioca, the state league of Rio de Janeiro. Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as motor neuron disease (MND) or Lou Gehrig's disease, is a neurodegenerative disease that results in the progressive loss of motor neurons that control voluntary muscles. ALS is the most common type of motor neuron diseases. Early symptoms of ALS include stiff muscles, muscle twitches, and gradual increasing weakness and muscle wasting. ''Limb-onset ALS'' begins with weakness in the arms or legs, while ''bulbar-onset ALS'' begins with difficulty speaking or swallowing. Half of the people with ALS develop at least mild difficulties with thinking and behavior, and about 15% develop frontotemporal dementia. Most people experience pain. Campeonato Paranaense, which has been contested since 1915, is the top-flight football league of the state of Paraná, Brazil. Format The format has changed in 2014. 12 teams are together in a single group. They play against each other once, and the 8 best teams after the 11 games will play the knockout phase that teams will play against each other over two legs on a home-and-away basis.
