Washburn Field is a 1,500-seat stadium located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. It is home of the field sports teams from Colorado College and is the oldest college football facility west of the Mississippi River, having hosted its first game in 1898. Colorado College is a private liberal arts college in Colorado Springs, Colorado. It was founded in 1874 by Thomas Nelson Haskell in his daughter's memory. The college enrolls approximately 2,000 undergraduates at its campus. The college offers 42 majors and 33 minors. Colorado Springs Blizzard were an American soccer team, founded in 2004. The team was a member of the United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League (PDL), the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, until 2006, when the team left the league and the franchise was terminated.
