Warren McCall
Warren McCall is a former Member of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan. A member of the Saskatchewan New Democratic Party, he was first elected in a February 2001 by-election and has been re-elected to the Legislative Assembly for Regina Elphinstone-Centre in the 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2016 general elections. He is the Opposition House Leader and the official opposition critic for Advanced Education, SaskTel, Central Services, the Lean Initiative, Saskatchewan Gaming Corporation, and the Provincial Capital Commission. McCall did not seek re-election in the 2020 Saskatchewan general election. In the Lorne Calvert NDP Government, McCall served in a variety of roles. Lorne Edmund Nystrom, (born April 26, 1946) is a Canadian politician and was a member of the House of Commons of Canada from 1968 to 1993 and again from 1997 to 2004. He is a member of the New Democratic Party. Nystrom has been a prominent figure in the New Democratic Party for most of his career. Lorne Calvert
Lorne Albert Calvert (born December 24, 1952) was the 13th premier of Saskatchewan, from 2001 to 2007. Calvert served as leader of the Saskatchewan New Democratic Party from 2001 to June 6, 2009, when he was succeeded by Dwain Lingenfelter. Early life and career Calvert was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. In 1975, Calvert married Betty Sluzalo of Perdue, Saskatchewan. 2020 Saskatchewan General Election
The 2020 Saskatchewan general election was held on October 26, 2020 to elect members of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan. This date is set by Saskatchewan's fixed election date law. The writ was dropped on September 29 just in time to hold the election on October 26. The previous election re-elected the Saskatchewan Party to its third consecutive majority government under the leadership of Brad Wall. On August 10, 2017, Wall announced his resignation as leader, pending the election of his successor. On January 27, 2018, Environment Minister Scott Moe was elected leader of the Saskatchewan Party.
