Warren E. Bow
Warren Edward Bow (June 2, 1891 – May 12, 1945) was the second president of Wayne University, now Wayne State University, from 1942 to 1945. He grew the university during World War II by having it become a training center for workers entering war production industries. Personal life Bow was born in Detroit, Michigan. He attended Detroit Public Schools and graduated from the University of Illinois in 1914 with a degree in engineering. While at Illinois, he was a member of the Phi chapter of Sigma Pi fraternity and Scabbard and Blade. He joined the U.S. Army and saw service on the Mexico–United States border in 1916 and in France during World War I. Before deploying to France he married Marjorie Chaney on July 21, 1917. Their marriage wouldn't last. He started the war as a captain in the 119th Field Artillery with the 32nd Division. Wayne State University (WSU) is a public research university in Detroit, Michigan. It is Michigan's third-largest university. Founded in 1868, Wayne State consists of 13 schools and colleges offering approximately 350 programs to nearly 25,000 graduate and undergraduate students. The Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry (the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction in the United States often omits the ''and'', while the English Constitution in the United Kingdom omits the ''Scottish''), commonly known as simply the Scottish Rite (or, in England and Australia, as the Rose Croix although this is only one of its degrees), is one of several List of Masonic rites, Rites of Freemasonry.
