Warren Central Elementary School
The Metropolitan School District of Warren County administers the one high school/middle school and three elementary schools in Warren County, Indiana. Its offices are located in the county seat of Williamsport. During the 2009–10 school year, it served 1,257 students. History After winning approval in the fall 1972 election, the MSD of Warren County was formed in January 1973 through the merger of two other school districts. These were Warren Central Consolidation (Superintendent Bob Johnson) which included the schools at West Lebanon, Marshfield, State Line, Judyville and Kramer, and Warren Community Schools (Superintendent Willis Horn) which administered schools at Pine Village and Williamsport. Judyville is a small unincorporated community in Liberty Township, Warren County, in the U.S. state of Indiana. History Judyville's founder John Finley Judy, born in Ohio on 18 March 1856, arrived in Warren County in 1867 with his parents Skillman and Sarah. Seeger Memorial Junior-Senior High School
Seeger Memorial Junior-Senior High School is the single high school and middle school serving Warren County, Indiana, and is located a mile and a half north of the town of West Lebanon. It is administered by the Metropolitan School District of Warren County in Williamsport. History Seeger High School was established in 1957 through a $250,000 donation from local grain dealer and broker Ura Seeger; classes began in the fall of 1959. The school's original mascot was the Indian, and its colors red and grey, but in 1973 due to the consolidation of Pine Village, Williamsport, and Seeger High Schools, the mascot was changed to the Patriot and the colors to red, white and blue. Pine Village, Indiana
Pine Village is a town in Adams Township, Warren County, in the U.S. state of Indiana. The population was 217 at the 2010 census. History The town was founded at the location of a trading post called Pine Village, which may have been named for a lone pine tree that stood on the bluff of Pine Creek, or it may have been named for the creek itself. Kramer, Indiana
Kramer is a small unincorporated community in Liberty Township, Warren County, in the U.S. state of Indiana. History On November 5, 1885, a post office was established called Cameron Springs, named for its first postmaster William Cameron. On June 12, 1889, the name was changed to Indiana Mineral Springs, and on March 23, 1901 it was changed again to Kramer, for the Henry L. Kramer who built the nearby resort Hotel Mudlavia. Mudlavia offered treatments that took advantage of the local mineral springs, which were believed to have therapeutic properties. Indianapolis-based bottled water company Cameron Springs drew on the water's reputation to help market its product. Perrier Group of America acquired Cameron Springs for approximately $10.5 million in June 2000. Marshfield is a small unincorporated community in Steuben Township, Warren County, in the U.S. state of Indiana. History The town of Marshfield was platted on May 22, 1857, and named for Marshfield, Massachusetts, the home of statesman Daniel Webster. A post office was established on April 6, 1857, which operated until 1989. In 1870, the population was 150 and, by 1900, it had grown to 250. West Lebanon, Indiana
West Lebanon is a town in Pike Township, Warren County, in the U.S. state of Indiana. The population was 723 at the 2010 census. History West Lebanon was laid out and platted in the fall of 1830 by Ebenezer Purviance, John G. Jemison and Andrew Fleming, and consisted of 64 lots. Originally named Lebanon, the name was changed to West Lebanon in 1869 when the town was incorporated, possibly in deference to the Boone County community of the same name which established its post office on December 15, 1832, just eleven days before their own. Not being close to any waterways, West Lebanon's early growth was relatively slow and for many years had no more than 20 families.
