Warped (song)
"Warped" is a song by the American alternative rock group Red Hot Chili Peppers, from their 1995 album, ''One Hot Minute''. It was released as the first single from the album. It is the first track on ''One Hot Minute'', beginning with an unusually quiet intro, before suddenly kicking into a very heavy, crunching riff, and ends with a mellow, melodic outro. Anthony Kiedis' vocals are distorted and echoed throughout, and contrast dramatically with the rapping present on the band's previous material, especially on their more fast-paced songs such as this; short lines are stretched to fill an entire measure. The musical style is of an unpredictable and unsettling nature, which is generally maintained throughout the entire album. The lyrics describe Kiedis' confused feelings about drugs, starting already in the first lines with: "my tendency/for dependency/is offending me". Despite being the album's first single, neither the song nor the accompanying video was included on the Red Hot ...

Three Days (Jane's Addiction Song)
"Three Days" is a song on Jane's Addiction's 1990 album, ''Ritual de lo Habitual''. It is a three-part song that meditates on death and rebirth. The guitar solo by Dave Navarro was ranked as number 100 in '' Guitar World''s "100 best guitar solos" article. Lyrical meaning The song was inspired by Xiola Blue, a friend of Perry Farrell, who came to Los Angeles, possibly around the time of her father's funeral and spent three days with Farrell and his partner Casey Niccoli, in a "haze of sex and drugs". Blue was also the muse behind ''Xiola'', a song recorded by Farrell's first band Psi-Com. Xiola died aged 18 of a heroin overdose in New York City, June 1987. 'Three Days' was written before her death. Alternate versions A live version of the song appears on the band's 1997 rarities compilation ''Kettle Whistle''. This version appears on the soundtrack of Richard Kelly's 2007 film ''Southland Tales ''Southland Tales'' is a 2006 American dystopian comedy thriller film writte ...

Songs Written By Anthony Kiedis
A song is a musical composition intended to be performed by the human voice. This is often done at distinct and fixed pitches (melodies) using patterns of sound and silence. Songs contain various forms, such as those including the repetition and variation of sections. Written words created specifically for music, or for which music is specifically created, are called lyrics. If a pre-existing poem is set to composed music in classical music it is an art song. Songs that are sung on repeated pitches without distinct contours and patterns that rise and fall are called chants. Songs composed in a simple style that are learned informally "by ear" are often referred to as folk songs. Songs that are composed for professional singers who sell their recordings or live shows to the mass market are called popular songs. These songs, which have broad appeal, are often composed by professional songwriters, composers, and lyricists. Art songs are composed by trained classical composers fo ...

Red Hot Chili Peppers Songs
Red is the color at the long wavelength end of the visible spectrum of light, next to orange and opposite violet. It has a dominant wavelength of approximately 625–740 nanometres. It is a primary color in the RGB color model and a secondary color (made from magenta and yellow) in the CMYK color model, and is the complementary color of cyan. Reds range from the brilliant yellow-tinged scarlet and vermillion to bluish-red crimson, and vary in shade from the pale red pink to the dark red burgundy. Red pigment made from ochre was one of the first colors used in prehistoric art. The Ancient Egyptians and Mayans colored their faces red in ceremonies; Roman generals had their bodies colored red to celebrate victories. It was also an important color in China, where it was used to color early pottery and later the gates and walls of palaces. In the Renaissance, the brilliant red costumes for the nobility and wealthy were dyed with kermes and cochineal. The 19th century brought the ...
