Jon Warden (born October 1, 1946) is an American baseball player originally from Columbus, Ohio. A left-handed pitcher, he was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the fourth round of the 1966 amateur draft. In the 1968 season, he played 28 games and innings for the Tigers, ending with a 4-1 record, 3 saves, 11 games finished, and an ERA of 3.62. Winter David Warden (26 November 1860 – 3 June 1936) was an Australian politician and a member of the New South Wales Legislative Council for the Nationalist Party of Australia for 17 years. Early life Warden was born in Ulladulla, New South Wales, the son of David Warden, land and ship building yard owner, and Grace Buchan. His uncle, James Warden, was a Member of the Legislative Assembly. He was one of seven brothers and attended Newington College commencing in 1875 whilst the school was situated at Newington House on the Parramatta River. William Warden (printer)
William Warden (1761 – March 18, 1786) was a printer in late 18th-century Boston, Massachusetts. In March 1784, when Warden was 23 years of age, he established the Massachusetts Centinel newspaper, with Benjamin Russell. The printing-office of Warden & Russell was located in March 1784 "at the southeast corner of State House" in Boston, and later moved to 9 Marlborough Street. The publishing partnership continued until Warden's death in 1786. Warden never married. Peter Warden (born 7 July 1941) is a British hurdling, hurdler and former National Coach. Athletics career He competed in the Athletics at the 1964 Summer Olympics – Men's 400 metres hurdles, men's 400 metres hurdles at the 1964 Summer Olympics. Warden, Mike Hogan (athlete), Mike Hogan and the eventual silver medalist John Cooper (hurdler), John Cooper were the only two British men to contest the event. Warden progressed to the semi-final after placing third in his heat with a time of 51.6 seconds. Career Although she acted in other films and TV shows, in Germany and Scandinavia she is best known for her role as Miss Sophie in the 1963 comedy sketch ''Dinner for One'' together with Freddie Frinton. She had non-speaking roles in Stanley Kubrick's '' A Clockwork Orange'' and as an aged Sara Kingdom in the '' Doctor Who'' serial ''The Daleks' Master Plan''. David Bailie Warden was a republican insurgent in the Irish Rebellion of 1798 and, in later exile, a United States consul in Paris. While in American service Watson protested the corruption of diplomatic service by the "avaricious" spirit of commerce and condemned slavery. Warden continued in Paris as an academician, widely recognised for his pioneering and encyclopaedic contributions to the understanding of international law, and of the geography, history and government of the Americas.
