The War Room
''The War Room'' is a 1993 American documentary film about Bill Clinton's campaign for President of the United States during the 1992 United States presidential election. Directed by Chris Hegedus and D. A. Pennebaker, the film was released on December 5, 1993. Synopsis The film follows James Carville and George Stephanopoulos, at first during the New Hampshire primary, and then mostly in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the Clinton campaign headquarters. Several key events of the 1992 election cycle and their repercussions within the Clinton campaign are chronicled in the documentary. These include: the Gennifer Flowers scandal, the New Hampshire Democratic primary, Ross Perot's campaign as an Independent, the Democratic National Convention, the Clinton campaign's attack on George H. A command center (often called a war room) is any place that is used to provide centralized command for some purpose. While frequently considered to be a military facility, these can be used in many other cases by governments or businesses. The term "war room" is also often used in politics to refer to teams of communications people who monitor and listen to the media and the public, respond to inquiries, and synthesize opinions to determine the best course of action. If all functions of a command center are located in a single room this is often referred to as a control room. However in business management teams, the term "war room" is still frequently used, especially when the team is focusing on the necessary strategy and tactics to accomplish some goal the business finds important. ''The War Room'' was a news and political commentary program on Current TV. It was initially hosted by former Governor of Michigan Jennifer Granholm. The show debuted on January 30, 2012 and aired on weeknights followed by '' The Young Turks with Cenk Uygur'' and '' Viewpoint with Eliot Spitzer''. "The War Room" is an allusion to the place where strategists plan a political campaign. Granholm had said that the program's stance would be progressive. ''InfoWars'' is an American far-right conspiracy theory and fake news website owned by Alex Jones. It was founded in 1999, and operates under Free Speech Systems LLC. Talk shows and other content for the site are created primarily in studios at an undisclosed location in an industrial area in the outskirts of Austin, Texas. Reports in 2017 stated that the ''InfoWars'' website received approximately 10 million monthly visits, making its reach greater than some mainstream news websites such as ''The Economist'' and ''Newsweek'' at the time. The site has regularly published fake stories which have been linked to harassment of victims. In February 2018, Jones, the publisher, director and owner of ''InfoWars'', was accused of discrimination and sexually harassing employees. Quinn and Rose is a syndicated conservative talk radio program hosted by Jim Quinn and Rose Somma Tennent. Broadcasting from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the show currently airs in limited syndication from flagship station WPGB-HD2/ WBGG in Pittsburgh during the morning drive time slot. Prior to 2013, the program aired on WPGB's main channel as its morning drive show and was syndicated to several affiliates, mostly in the northeastern United States. The series was abruptly canceled after the November 15, 2013 broadcast, with Clear Channel citing an inability to reach a contract extension, later suggestions indicating that Clear Channel budget cuts were at fault, and the show's affiliates claiming the duo was fired. ''Roseanne'' is an American television sitcom that was originally broadcast on American Broadcasting Company, ABC from October 18, 1988, to May 20, 1997, with a revival season that premiered in 2018. Lauded for its realistic portrayal of the average American family, the series stars Roseanne Barr, and revolves around the Conners, an Illinois working-class family. In the ninth season, Roseanne and her family win the lottery and associate with "high society." In the final episode Roseanne reveals not only was she writing a story and they did not win the lottery, but also says Dan had actually died from a heart attack in season 8. In season 10, it is revealed that Dan is still alive. Roseanne fabricated his doom as well, along with a multitude of other things. The ''War Room'' (1967/68–2002), by Wally Hedrick (1928–2003), consists of eight canvases approximately 5 feet wide and 11 feet tall, all painted a deep black. Hedrick referred to these canvases as "wounded veterans". These canvases are bolted together to create a freestanding cubic room that could be entered via a small door in one of the canvases, thus creating an architectural painting. The black painted surfaces of the canvases face inward and the backs of the canvases face outward. The ''War Room'' is an “environmental” painting; the viewer enters a small enclosure of painted blackness. The video assistant referee (VAR) is a match official in association football who reviews decisions made by the referee. The assistant video assistant referee (AVAR) is a current or former referee appointed to assist the VAR in the video operation room.
