	Friedrich Heinrich Albert Wangerin Friedrich Heinrich Albert Wangerin (November 18, 1844 – October 25, 1933) was a German mathematician. Early life Wangerin was born on November 18, 1844 in Greifenberg Pomerania, Prussia (now Gryfice, Poland). He studied at the gymnasium at Greifenberg and completed his final examination with an "excellent" grade in 1862. In spring 1862, Wangerin entered the University of Halle-Wittenberg, where he studied Mathematics and Physics. He was taught by mathematicians Eduard Heine and Carl Neumann. In 1864 he moved to the University of Königsberg. He worked under the supervision of German mathematician Franz Ernst Neumann. He competed his doctorate from Königsberg University on March 16, 1866. His doctorate thesis was ''De annulis Newtonianis''. Academic career After he completing his doctorate, Wangerin took the examinations to become a school teacher. 	Walther Wangerin Walther Wangerin (15 April 1884, in Giebichenstein, Halle an der Saale – 19 April 1938, in Langfuhr, Danzig-Langfuhr) was a German botanist. He studied mathematics and natural sciences at the University of Halle, receiving his doctorate in 1906. Following graduation, he worked as an assistant to Adolf Engler at the Berlin-Dahlem Botanical Garden and Botanical Museum, botanical garden in Berlin-Dahlem. In 1909 he became a schoolteacher in Burg bei Magdeburg, and from 1913 taught classes at the Gdańsk University of Technology, technical school in Danzig. 	Wangerin Organ Company The Wangerin Organ Company (1912-1942) was a manufacturer of pipe organs based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was a continuation of the company after the partnership of Adolph Wangerin and George J. Weickhardt, Wangerin-Weickhardt, ended with the death of Weickhardt in 1919. It had previously also been known as the Hann-Wangerin-Weickhardt company. Many of its organs are still played in churches today. During the theater organ boom in the 1920s, when the Barton Organ Company of Oshkosh, Wisconsin could not keep up with the production demand, the Wangerin factory first loaned them factory space, and later was sub-contracted to build organs for them. During World War II, when manufacture of musical instruments was banned in 1942 in order to focus on the war effort, the Wangerin-Weickhardt Company built wooden airplane parts and other war-related goods.
