Wang Zhen (inventor)
Wang Zhen (, 1290–1333) was a Chinese mechanical engineer, agronomist, inventor, writer, and politician of the Yuan dynasty (1271–1368). He was one of the early innovators of the wooden movable type printing technology. His illustrated agricultural treatise was also one of the most advanced of its day, covering a wide range of equipment and technologies available in the late 13th and early 14th century. Wang Zhen (April 11, 1908 – March 12, 1993) was a Chinese political figure and one of the Eight Elders of the Chinese Communist Party. He was the 4th Vice President of China and served under Chinese Presidents Yang Shangkun and Li Xiannian. Wang Zhen was the first Vice Chairman to serve in the Central Advisory Commission, under Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping. Early career Born in 1908, his first job aged 16 was as an labor in a railway station office, but he was dismissed after slapping a foreign woman, the wife of a foreign manager of the railroad. Eugene Wang (born Wang Zhen 王臻 on November 13, 1985 in Shijiazhuang) is a Canadian table tennis player. He was given permission to compete for Canada in June 2012, allowing him to represent Canada at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the men's team event. He trains in Saarbruken, Germany. Wang Zhen (; born 24 August 1991) is a Chinese race walker who specialises in the 10 kilometres and 20 kilometres race walk. He holds the senior Asian record for the 20 km with his time of 1:17:36 hours and is also the Asian, Chinese and junior world record holder over 10 km.
