Wang Xiao (politician)
Wang Xiao (; born May 1968) is a Chinese politician, serving since 2015 as the Communist Party Secretary of Xining, the capital of Qinghai province. Wang was born in 1968 in Zaozhuang, Shandong. He graduated from the University of Science and Technology of China. In his early career he worked in the Qingdao Hi-tech Industrial Zone. In 1995 he joined the Communist Youth League system, where he took on increasingly senior posts, including CYL chief of Qingdao, CYL deputy chief of Shandong province, and leader of the Youth Work Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League. He was later named a Secretary of the Secretariat of the Communist Youth League, then Executive Secretary. In 2013, he left the Youth League system to take on the post of Vice-Governor in Qinghai. Wang Xiao (footballer, Born 1979)
Wang Xiao (; born August 30, 1979) is a retired Chinese football player who previously played for Yunnan Hongta and Tianjin Teda F.C. as a centre-back. Club career Yunnan Hongta Wang was born in Shenyang, Liaoning. He originally began his football career with the Liaoning F.C. youth team in 1994 until 1998 when he spent a short period with the Chinese national youth team. He would return to Liaoning F.C. youth team the following year and would remain with them until 2000 when he left after being unable to break into their senior team. He would instead move to Yunnan Hongta in 2001 to begin his professional football career and in his debut season he quickly established himself as a regular for the senior team. Wang Xiao (; born 18 April 1992 in Anshan, Liaoning, China) is a Chinese footballer currently playing for Chinese club Yuxi Yukun as a forward. Club career After playing in the youth squad of Shandong Luneng Taishan, Wang transferred to Chinese Super League side Shenzhen Ruby in 2011. He was loaned to China League Two club Guizhou Zhicheng in July 2012. He made 5 appearances in League Two as Guizhou Zhicheng finished first place in the League Two and won promotion back to the top flight at the first attempt. Wang made a free transfer to Hangzhou Greentown on 19 January 2013. In March 2016, Wang transferred to China League Two side Baotou Nanjiao.
