Wang Ruilin
Wang Ruilin (; January 1930 – 8 December 2018) was a general of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA). He was a long-term secretary of Deng Xiaoping and served as a member of the Central Military Commission. Career Born in Zhaoyuan, Shandong, Wang joined PLA in 1946, and joined CPC in February 1947. He had served as secretary of Deng Xiaoping since 1952, when Deng was the vice premier of the State Council. When Deng re-emerged in the 1970s, Wang became his secretary again and held this post till Deng's retirement in 1990. Deng Xiaoping
Deng Xiaoping (22 August 1904 – 19 February 1997) was a Chinese revolutionary leader, military commander and statesman who served as the paramount leader of the People's Republic of China (PRC) from December 1978 to November 1989. After CCP chairman Mao Zedong's death in 1976, Deng gradually rose to supreme power and led China through a series of far-reaching market-economy reforms earning him the reputation as the "Architect of Modern China". He contributed to China becoming the world's second largest economy by GDP nominal in 2010. Jia Ting'an
Jia Ting'an (; born September 3, 1952) is a retired general in the Chinese People's Liberation Army. He served as the deputy director of the Political Work Department. He was a principal aide to Jiang Zemin, former General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party (paramount leader). Career Jia was born in Ye County, Henan province. He graduated in 1973 from the Chengdu Telecommunications Engineering College (), where he studied microwaves. In 1982 he joined the staff of Jiang Zemin, who was serving as Minister of Electrical Industry at the time. Later Jiang became Mayor of Shanghai, then Party Secretary. In 1989 after the Tiananmen Square protests, Jiang was promoted to General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party and Jia joined him on his staff, serving in the Office of the General Secretary and Office of the Central Military Commission Chairman. PLA General Political Department
The People's Liberation Army General Political Department (GPD; ) was the former chief political organ under the Central Military Commission of Chinese Communist Party. It led all political activities in the People's Liberation Army. Its former director-generals include Liu Shaoqi, Luo Ronghuan, Tan Zheng, Xiao Hua, Li Desheng, Zhang Chunqiao, Wei Guoqing, Yu Qiuli, Yang Baibing, Yu Yongbo, Xu Caihou, and Li Jinai.
