Wan Exiang
Wan Exiang (; born May 1956) is a Chinese politician, jurist, chairperson of the Revolutionary Committee of the Kuomintang (2012–2022), Vice Chairperson of the 12th and 13th National People's Congress Standing Committees (2013–present). Biography Wan Exiang was born in Gong'an, Hubei in 1956. Wan received his B.A degree from Wuhan University in 1980, LL.M. degree from Yale Law School in 1987 and LL.D. degree from Wuhan University School of Law in 1988. After graduation, he joined the faculty of Wuhan University. Wan was elected as the vice president of the Intermediate People's Court of Wuhan in 1996, vice president of the High People's Court of Hubei in 1999, and Vice President of the Supreme People's Court of China in 2000. He was elected President of the Revolutionary Committee of the Kuomintang in 2002. Wan attended the Group of 20 parliament speakers in Tokyo, Japan, Nov. 4, 2019. Wan is the Mandarin pinyin and Wade–Giles romanization of the Chinese surname written in simplified Chinese and in traditional Chinese. It is romanized as Man in Cantonese. It is listed 162nd in the Song dynasty classic text ''Hundred Family Surnames''. As of 2008, it is the 88th most common surname in China, shared by 2.4 million people. The province with the most people having the surname is Anhui. In 2011, of the top 30 cities in China it was the only the top ten surnames of Nanchang, where it is the fourth-most common name. The Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China (NPCSC) is the permanent body of the National People's Congress (NPC) of the People's Republic of China (PRC), which is the highest organ of state power and the legislature of China. Although the parent NPC has superiority over the Standing Committee, and certain authorities are not delegated, the Standing Committee is generally viewed to have more power, albeit inferior to its parent, as the NPC convenes only once a year for two weeks, leaving its Standing Committee the only body that regularly drafts and approves decisions and laws. Executive Order 13936, entitled "The President’s Executive Order on Hong Kong Normalization", is an executive order signed by U.S. President Donald Trump on July 14, 2020. On the same day Trump had signed into law Hong Kong Autonomy Act, one of the laws from which the order derives authority. Supreme People's Court Of China
The Supreme People's Court of the People's Republic of China (SPC; ) is the highest court of the People's Republic of China. It hears appeals of cases from the high people's courts and is the trial court for cases about matters of national importance. The court also has a quasi-legislative power to issue judicial interpretations and adjudication rules on court procedure.
