Wan Dihuan
Wan Dihuan (; born 1907, date of death unknown) was a Chinese filmmaker. Born in Nanjing, China, he was one of the Wan brothers who pioneered the Chinese animation industry. His date of birth is unknown. History Wan Dihuan assisted his brothers in pioneering many of the film projects up until 1932, when he voluntarily left the Great Wall Film Company for his own photography studio.Qing Yun.Qing Yun" ''Qing Yun.com.'' ''Havoc in Heaven'', also translated as ''Uproar in Heaven'', is a Chinese donghua feature film directed by Wan Laiming and produced by all four of the Wan brothers. The film was created at the height of the Chinese animation industry in the 1960s, and received numerous awards, earning the brothers domestic and international recognition. The story is an adaptation of the earlier episodes of the 16th-century Chinese novel ''Journey to the West''. The stylized animation and drums and percussion accompaniment used in this film are heavily influenced by Peking opera traditions. ''Princess Iron Fan'' (), is the first Chinese animated feature film. It is also considered the first Asian animated feature film. The film is based on an episode of the 16th-century novel ''Journey to the West''. It was directed in Shanghai under difficult conditions in the thick of World War II by Wan Guchan and Wan Laiming (the Wan brothers) and was released on November 19, 1941. The film later became influential in the development of East Asian animation, including Japanese anime and Chinese animation. Great Wall Film Company () was one of the first Chinese film production companies based in Shanghai, China, in the 1920s. History The company was founded by Mei Xuechou (梅雪俦) and Liu Zhaoming (刘兆明) in the 1920s. The company's first known film was ''The Discarded Wife'' (1924), written by Hou Yao and co-directed by Hou and Li Zeyuan.
