Waltraud Dietsch, née Birnbaum (born 26 November 1950 in Staßfurt, East Germany) is a retired German sprinter who specialized in the 400 metres. She won a gold medal in 4x400 metres relay at the 1974 European Championships in Athletics, 1974 European Championships, together with teammates Angelika Handt, Ellen Streidt and Brigitte Rohde. She had finished fifth in the same event at the 1969 European Championships in Athletics, 1969 European Championships. In the individual event she won a silver medal at the 1973 European Indoor Championships in Athletics, 1973 European Indoor Championships and a bronze at the 1974 European Indoor Championships in Athletics, 1974 European Indoor Championships. Waltraut Haas
Waltraut Haas (born 9 June 1927) is an Austrian actress and singer. Born in Vienna, Haas grew up at Schloss Schönbrunn, where her mother was a restaurateur. Haas made her stage debut in Linz but was soon won over to the big screen. She achieved fame and recognition already through her first movie, the cult classic ''Der Hofrat Geiger'' (1947), in which she played Mariandl, the illegitimate daughter of a woman who runs an inn in the picturesque Wachau valley. In 1961, Haas would play Mariandl's single mother in a remake entitled ''Mariandl''. Her other famous movie role was that of Josepha Vogelhuber in the 1960 film ''The White Horse Inn'' (''Im weißen Rößl'') opposite Peter Alexander. After 60 movies, mainly comedies and musicals, she stopped making films around 1970. Since then, she has also appeared on television. Waltraud Kretzschmar ( Hermann then Czelake, 1 February 1948 in Kloster Lehnin – 7 February 2018) was an East German handball player who competed in the 1976 Summer Olympics and in the 1980 Summer Olympics. In the 1970s, she was considered the best and most successful handball player in the world. In 1976 she won the silver medal with the East German team. She played three matches including the final and scored eight goals. Four years later she won the bronze medal as a member of the East German. She played one match and scored one goal. Kretzschmar married her coach, Peter Kretzschmar, in 1972. They lived in Schöneiche near Berlin.
