Walter Lewis Hensley
Walter Lewis Hensley (September 3, 1871 – July 18, 1946) was a U.S. Representative from Missouri. Born near Pevely, Missouri, Hensley attended the public schools and the law department of the University of Missouri. He was admitted to the bar in 1894 and commenced practice in Wayne County, Missouri. He moved to Bonne Terre, St. Francois County, Missouri, and continued the practice of law. He served as prosecuting attorney of St. Francois County 1898-1902. He moved to Farmington, Missouri, and practiced law. Hensley was elected as a Democrat to the Sixty-second and to the three succeeding Congresses (March 4, 1911 – March 3, 1919). On April 5, 1917, he joined 49 other representatives in voting against declaring war on Germany. He was not a candidate for renomination in 1918. United States district attorney from March 1919 until he resigned in May 1920. Reengaged in the private practice of law in St. Louis, Missouri, until 1936, when he retired and moved to near Pevely. Ludington, Michigan
Ludington ( ) is the largest city and county seat of Mason County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 8,076. Ludington is a harbor town located on Lake Michigan at the mouth of the Pere Marquette River. Many people come to Ludington year round for recreation, including boating and swimming on Lake Michigan, Hamlin Lake, and other smaller inland lakes, as well as hunting, fishing, and camping. Politte Elvins (March 16, 1878 – January 14, 1943) was a U.S. Representative from Missouri's 13th congressional district. Born in French Village. St. Francois County, Missouri, Elvins attended the public schools. He graduated from Carleton College, Farmington, Missouri, in 1897 and from the law department of the University of Missouri in 1899. He was admitted to the bar the same year and commenced practice in Elvins, Missouri. Elvins was elected as a Republican to the Sixty-first Congress (March 4, 1909 – March 3, 1911). He was an unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1910 to the Sixty-second Congress. He resumed the practice of law in Elvins, Missouri. Farmington, Missouri
Farmington is a city in St. Francois County located about southwest of St. Louis in the Lead Belt region in Missouri. As of the 2020 census, the population was 18,217. It is the county seat of St. Francois County. Farmington was established in 1822 as Murphy's Settlement, named for William Murphy of Kentucky, who first visited the site in 1798. When St. Francois County was organized, the town was briefly called St. Francois Court House and later renamed to Farmington. Wayne County is a County (United States), county located in the Ozarks, Ozark foothills in the U.S. state of Missouri. As of the 2020 United States census, 2020 census, the population was 10,974. The county seat is Greenville, Missouri, Greenville.
