Walter Alfred Rosam
Walter Alfred Rosam (25 October 1883, in Hamburg – 14 August 1916, in Ukraine) was a German Post-Impressionist painter of Jewish ancestry; known for still-lifes and landscapes. Biography In 1901, he became a student of Arthur Siebelist, co-founder of the , which he joined in 1903. The following year, he had his first exhibition at the , a highly respected gallery that had been established in 1821. He was married in 1905 and had a daughter in 1906. With Franz Nölken and Friedrich Ahlers-Hestermann, fellow members of the Künstlerklub, he went to Paris in 1907 and became part of the artistic circle that met at Le Dôme Café. Königsberg
Königsberg (, ) was the historic Prussian city that is now Kaliningrad, Russia. Königsberg was founded in 1255 on the site of the ancient Old Prussian settlement ''Twangste'' by the Teutonic Knights during the Northern Crusades, and was named in honour of King Ottokar II of Bohemia. A Baltic port city, it successively became the capital of the Królewiec Voivodeship, the State of the Teutonic Order, the Duchy of Prussia and the provinces of East Prussia and Prussia. The Eastern Front or Eastern Theater of World War I (german: Ostfront; ro, Frontul de răsărit; russian: Восточный фронт, Vostochny front) was a theater (warfare), theater of operations that encompassed at its greatest extent the entire frontier between Russian Empire, Russia and Kingdom of Romania, Romania on one side and Austria-Hungary, Kingdom of Bulgaria, Bulgaria, the Ottoman Empire, Ottoman Empire, and German Empire, Germany on the other. It stretched from the Baltic Sea in the north to the Black Sea in the south, involved most of Eastern Europe, and stretched deep into Central Europe as well.
