Poco Saints
Poco was an American country rock band originally formed in 1968 after the demise of Buffalo Springfield. Guitarists Richie Furay and Jim Messina, former members of Buffalo Springfield, were joined by multi-instrumentalist Rusty Young, bassist Randy Meisner, and drummer George Grantham. Meisner quit the band whilst they were recording their first album, '' Pickin' Up the Pieces'', though his bass and backing vocal parts were kept in the final mix. He was replaced by Timothy B. Schmit in 1969, and Messina left in 1970 to be replaced by Paul Cotton. The line-up would change numerous times over the next several decades, with Rusty Young being the only constant member. A reunion of the founding members occurred in the late 1980s-early 1990s, and the band has continued in some form through 2021, though they retired from active touring in 2013, with Young citing health concerns as the primary cause of his retirement. Young died from a heart attack in April 2021. To date, the ban ...

Welland Generals
The Welland Generals are Junior "B" box lacrosse team from Welland, Ontario, Canada. The Generals play in the OLA Junior B Lacrosse League. They were originally called the Welland Warlords. History Founded in 2001 by William (Billy) John House and Louis Savona, the Warlords had two strong seasons from the start. They even made the playoffs those first two seasons. From 2003 until 2006 have been positively dreadful though, capping it off in 2006 with a 0–20–0 record. In a lacrosse hotbed like the Golden Horseshoe it is unfortunate to see Welland suffer through recent seasons. In 2007 they debut new jerseys, sporting the warlord overtop of the background of the Welland river/canal. Also debuting new colours of blue and red. 2008 was a turn-around season for the Warlords as they finished the regular season with a 10–10–0 record and made their first playoff appearance in six years. At the end of the 2008 season Warlords goalie Connor Danko was named Western Conference Roo ...

The current owners brought the team to Mississauga by way of Milton. It started out as a feeder team for the OLA Junior A Lacrosse League's Brampton Excelsiors. In 1995, the team went separate ways from its parent club and moved to Milton. Under the Junior "A" club, the franchise never really did that well.
