"Walkabout" is a song by Atlas Sound featuring Noah Lennox. It appears as the third track on his second studio effort ''Logos''. Although never released as a single, it is often seen as the lead single as it was the first song officially released from the album. Upon initial release, Pitchfork Media included it in their best new tracks section and rated it as 34th best song of the year. Atlas Sound
Bradford James Cox (born May 15, 1982) is an American singer-songwriter and musician, best known as the lead singer and guitarist of the indie rock band Deerhunter. He also pursues a solo career under the moniker Atlas Sound. Cox formed Deerhunter with drummer Moses Archuleta in 2001. The band has released 7 studio albums along with several singles and EPs. Atlas Sound is a name Cox has used since he was ten to refer to his own music, but his first full-length production under the name was ''Let the Blind Lead Those Who Can See but Cannot Feel'' (2008). Cox's method of creating music is stream of consciousness, and he does not write lyrics in advance. He made his film acting debut in 2013's ''Dallas Buyers Club''. Noah Benjamin Lennox (born July 17, 1978), also known by his moniker Panda Bear, is an American musician, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and co-founding member of the band Animal Collective. In addition to his work with that group, Lennox has released six solo LPs since 1999, with his influential 2007 album ''Person Pitch'' inspiring numerous subsequent acts. His subsequent albums ''Tomboy'' (2011) and '' Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper'' (2015) both reached the ''Billboard'' 200. Lennox was primarily raised in Baltimore, Maryland, where he sang tenor in his high school chamber choir, and studied piano and cello. ''Logos'' is the second studio album from ambient experimental project Atlas Sound. It was released on October 19, 2009, in Europe by 4AD, and on October 20 in the US by Kranky. The album features guest contributions from Noah Lennox (a.k.a. Panda Bear of Animal Collective) and Stereolab's Lætitia Sadier. Units ordered directly from Rough Trade came packaged with a bonus six-song EP of leftover material. The album reached #7 on the Billboard Heatseekers album chart. The Dovers were an American garage rock band of the mid-1960s. The Selmanaires
The Selmanaires are an American Indie electronic band from Atlanta, Georgia. Influenced by the sounds of myriads cultures and eras, the Selmanaires' sound is a musical collage which dances the boundary between tradition and experiment. It was formed in 2003 on Selman Street, Atlanta, Georgia by Herb Harris, Jason Harris, and Tommy Chung. The group soon expanded to a four-piece with Mathis Hunter on guitar and percussion.
