English is a West Germanic language of the Indo-European language family, with its earliest forms spoken by the inhabitants of early medieval England. Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, (Henry Charles Albert David; born 15 September 1984) is a member of the British royal family. William Wales (optician)
William Wales ( – September 15, 1907) was an English-American optical instrument inventor specializing in the manufacture of objectives for use in microscopes. Wales's objective inventions were used frequently in contemporary microscopes and many examples survive in private and museum collections today. Life Wales was first employed with the London-based optics firm Smith & Beck. There, he ground lenses for use in microscopes. He immigrated to the United States from England in 1862, settling in Fort Lee, New Jersey, and quickly opened his own business manufacturing objectives. In 1864, Wales entered a partnership with W. H. Bulloch under the name William Wales & Co., although this dissolved in 1866 when Bulloch moved to Chicago. William Wales (1734? – 29 December 1798) was a British mathematician and astronomer who sailed on Captain Cook's second voyage of discovery, then became Master of the Royal Mathematical School at Christ's Hospital and a Fellow of the Royal Society. Early life Wales was born around 1734 to John and Sarah Wales and was baptised in Warmfield (near the West Yorkshire town of Wakefield) that year. Floyd Taliaferro Alderson (November 13, 1895 – February 10, 1980) was an American film actor who specialized in westerns. After serving in the Great War, he began his career in the era of silent films, when he frequently used the name Wally Wales. Although he transitioned to sound, he was given smaller parts, and used the name Hal Taliaferro. He appeared in more than 220 films between 1921 and 1964. He lived his later years in Montana at his family ranch. Peter John Wales (30 October 1928 – 3 October 2018) was a former English cricketer. Wales was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm medium pace. He was born in Hove, Sussex and was educated at the Hove Grammar School. Wales made his debut for Sussex in the 1948 Minor Counties Championship against Surrey. Shaw played Minor counties cricket for Sussex from 1948 to 1949, which included 13 Minor Counties Championship matches.
