Vanuatu has been divided into six provinces since 1994. Malampa Province
Malampa is one of the six provinces of Vanuatu, located in the center of the country. It consists of three main islands: Malakula, Ambrym and Paama, and takes its name from the first syllable of their names. It includes a number of other islands – the small islands of Uripiv, Norsup, Rano, Wala, Atchin and Vao off the coast of Malakula, and the volcanic island of Lopevi (currently uninhabited). Malakula Island, also spelled Malekula, is the second-largest island in the nation of Vanuatu, formerly the New Hebrides, in Melanesia, a region of the Pacific Ocean. Location Malakula is separated from the islands of Espiritu Santo and Malo by the Bougainville Strait. Lakatoro, the capital of Malampa Province, is situated on Malakula’s northeastern shore and is the largest settlement on the island. Just off the northeastern coast of Malakula, there is a group of islands called the ''Small Islands'', including, in order from north to south: Vao, Atchin, Wala, Rano, Norsup, Uripiv, and Uri. Also off the coast: Tomman Island to the southwest; Akhamb Island to the south; and the Maskelynes Islands to the southeast (including Sakao Island and Uluveo). A second and distinctly different meaning for ''tender'' is small boats carried by larger vessels, to be used either as lifeboats, or as transport to shore, or both. Tenders as smaller craft For a variety of reasons, it is not always advisable to try to tie a ship up at a dock; the weather or the sea might be rough, the time might be short, or the ship too large to fit. In such cases tenders provide the link from ship to shore, and may have a very busy schedule of back-and-forth trips while the ship is in port. On cruise ships, lifeboat tenders do double duty, serving as tenders in day-to-day activities, but fully equipped to act as lifeboats in an emergency. Pacific Sun (ship)
The MS ''Jubilee'' (also known as ''Pacific Sun'' and ''Henna'') was a cruise ship that was originally built for Carnival Cruise Line. She was the second out of three ships to be built for Carnival's of cruise ships. She was last owned by the Chinese company HNA Cruise Company, Limited around the West Pacific region. The ship is no longer in service and was scrapped in 2017. History Carnival Cruise Lines ''Jubilee'' was built in 1986 by Kockums Varv, Malmö, Sweden, for Carnival Cruise Line, along with near- sister ship '' Celebration''. The other near-sister ship of the class, '' Holiday'', was built earlier by Aalborg Værft in Aalborg, Denmark. For many years, Jubilee sailed from Long Beach to the Mexican Riviera, including Ensenada, Puerto Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas and Mazatlan.
