Wail Al-Shehri
Wail Mohammed al-Shehri ( ar, وائل الشهري, ; also transliterated as Alshehri) (July 31, 1973 – September 11, 2001) was one of five terrorist hijackers of American Airlines Flight 11, which was flown into the North Tower of the World Trade Center as part of the September 11 attacks in 2001. Wail al-Shehri was an elementary school teacher from Khamis Mushait in the Asir region of Saudi Arabia. In early 2000, he traveled to Medina to seek treatment for mental problems. He and his younger brother Waleed traveled to Afghanistan in March 2000 and joined an Al-Qaeda training camp. The brothers were chosen, along with others from the same region of Saudi Arabia, to participate in the September 11 attacks. Once selected, al-Shehri returned to Saudi Arabia in October 2000 to obtain a clean passport, then returned to Afghanistan. In March 2001, he recorded his last will and testament on video. American Airlines Flight 11
American Airlines Flight 11 was a domestic passenger flight that was hijacked by five al-Qaeda terrorists on September 11, 2001 as part of the September 11 attacks. Lead hijacker Mohamed Atta deliberately crashed the plane into the North Tower of the World Trade Center in New York City, killing all 92 people aboard and ensuring the deaths of everyone who was at, above and immediately below the aircraft's impact zone, making it the deadliest of the four crashes to occur on the day in terms of both plane and ground fatalities. The aircraft involved, a Boeing 767-223ER, registration was flying American Airlines' daily scheduled morning transcontinental service from Logan International Airport in Boston to Los Angeles International Airport in Los Angeles. Wael Sulaiman
Wael Sulaiman Al-Habashi ( ar, وائل سليمان أحمد المحيسن الحبشي; born August 8, 1964) was the first player of the Kuwait national football team to score a golden goal. The goal was scored against the UAE in 1994. Club career Sulaiman played his entire career for Al-Jahra, where he won the 1989–90 Kuwait Premier League. International career Sulaiman was part of the Kuwaiti team which won the 8th Arabian Gulf Cup. However, he played his first international match against China in the 1986 Asian Games quarterfinals, where his team reached the third place. Later on, he won both the 10th Arabian Gulf Cup and 13th Arabian Gulf Cup. Between the two aforementioned tournaments, he managed to finish third with his team at the 1994 Asian Games, where he was the top scorer with six goals. Siren (alarm)
A siren is a loud noise-making device. Civil defense sirens are mounted in fixed locations and used to warn of natural disasters or attacks. Sirens are used on emergency service vehicles such as ambulances, police cars, and fire engines. There are two general types: mechanical and electronic. Many fire sirens (used for calling the volunteer fire fighters) serve double duty as tornado or civil defense sirens, alerting an entire community of impending danger. Most fire sirens are either mounted on the roof of a fire station or on a pole next to the fire station. Fire sirens can also be mounted on or near government buildings, on tall structures such as water towers, as well as in systems where several sirens are distributed around a town for better sound coverage. WAIL (99.5 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a classic rock format. Licensed to Key West, Florida, United States, the station serves the Florida Keys area. The station is currently owned by Robert Holladay, through licensee Florida Keys Media, LLC. History On January 25, 2008, it was announced that WAIL-FM was one of several Clear Channel radio stations to be sold, in order to remain under the ownership caps following the sale of Clear Channel to private investors. Until it was sold, WAIL and other stations to be sold were placed into the Aloha Stations Trust. WAIL used to be known as "99.5 The Whale."
