Otto Wahle
Otto Wahle (5 November 1879 – 11 August 1963) was an Austrian-American swimmer who took part in two Summer Olympic Games and won a total of three medals. Wahle coached the men's US swim team at the 1912 Olympics, and the men's US water polo team at the 1920 and 1924 Olympics. Swimming career At age 20, Wahle competed in three events at the 1900 Summer Olympics in Paris, France. He competed in the 200 metre freestyle and won his heat, but, for an unknown reason, he did not compete in the final. He also entered the 1000 metre freestyle; in his heat he came second behind Hungarian swimmer Zoltán Halmay, but he still qualified for the final the next day. In the final he was beaten by John Arthur Jarvis from Great Britain but finished ahead of Halmay to win the silver medal. Wahle also won a silver medal in the 200 metre obstacle event. Mike Wahle
Michael James Wahle (; born March 29, 1977) is a former American football guard who played eleven seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Navy. He was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the second round of the 1998 NFL Supplemental Draft. A Pro Bowl selection in 2005, Wahle also played for the Carolina Panthers and Seattle Seahawks. Early years Wahle attended Rim of the World High School (Lake Arrowhead, California) and won four varsity letters in baseball as a pitcher, and three varsity letters each in football and basketball before graduating in 1995. He played three years at the U. S. Naval Academy before being forced to resign in his senior season after he tested positive for steroids. Richard Wahle
Richard Wahle (February 14, 1857, Vienna – October 21, 1935, Vienna) was professor of philosophy at the Universities of Czernowitz and Vienna. Wahle pronounced in his ''Tragicomedy of Wisdom'' (2nd edition, 1925) on what he acknowledged as only "definite, agnostic, absolute critique of knowledge" and psychology as surviving, or rather maintained that critiques of knowledge, logic and psychology have nothing to do with philosophy. As a consequence of his fundamental attitude, Wahle did not recognize the ego as a nucleus of forces but only as an imprint in the texture of the universe. In his ''Formation of Character'' (2nd edition, 1928) Wahle made important contributions to modern characterology. Kurt Wahle
Kurt Wahle (26 December 1855 – 19 June 1928) was a Saxon retired general who travelled to German East Africa in 1914 to visit his son. Being in the colony at the outbreak of World War I, he volunteered to serve under Paul von Lettow-Vorbeck, despite outranking him, and became one of his front commanders. He was involved in the fighting during the East African Campaign until October 1918. During the campaign he was awarded the Iron Cross (Second and First Class) and commanded the German forces at the Battle of Tabora.
