Wadi Degla Sporting Club ( ar, نادي وادي دجلة الرياضي) is an Egyptian football club based in Cairo. The club is related to Wadi Degla Holding, a construction company established in 1994. The CAF Confederation Cup, known as the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup for sponsorship purposes, is an annual association football club competition established in 2004 from a merger of the CAF Cup and the African Cup Winners' Cup and organized by CAF. Following the 2013 Egyptian coup d'état on 3 July 2013, the season was suspended for security reasons, and a decision was reached to cancel the remainder of the season. Thus, the championship play-off and the relegation play-off were not played. The 2011–12 Egyptian Premier League was the fifty-fifth season of the Egyptian Premier League since its establishment in 1948. The season began on 14 October 2011, with a total of 19 teams contesting the league. Al Ahly won the last seven league titles. This season, the league increased from 16 to 19 teams due to no relegation in the 2010–11 season as a result of the 2011 Egyptian revolution. Three teams were promoted from the second division. The Egyptian Super Cup is Egyptian football's annual match contested between the champions of the previous Egyptian Premier League season and the holders of the Egypt Cup.
