Wade Randolph Hampton
Wade Randolph Hampton is an American DJ, film and music producer and recording artist. He is known for his contributions to electronic music and his involvement in the development of the North American rave scene. Early life Wade grew up in Dallas, Texas, and discovered his love of music at an early age. During his high school years, his taste for electronic music in particular was inspired by DJs at the legendary club, the Starck, watching highly influential DJ Rick Squillante and Go-GO Mike DuPriest. Wade began regularly DJing warehouse parties near the University of North Texas, in Denton, in 1985, eventually playing small clubs on the campus itself. Two years later he would open his first nightclub, Westend, with another Starck Club DJ and lifelong mentor Kerry Jaggers, in Austin, Texas. George Lopez (born October 23, 1966), known by his stage name DJ Keoki or Keoki Franconi, is a Salvadoran-American electronic musician, among other genres, DJ. Born in El Salvador and raised in Hawaii, Keoki began advertising himself as "superstar" shortly after moving to New York City. Stacey Pullen is an American techno musician based in Detroit, Michigan, United States. Pullen was raised in Detroit, where he became interested in electronic music early in his life. He began working on the Detroit techno scene in 1990, studying with Derrick May and working with him on business ventures. He used the aliases Bango, Kosmik Messenger, X-Stacy and Silent Phase. Pullen's incorporation of house and garage with techno has been cited as an influence on later electronic artists. Derrick May (born April 6, 1963), also known as Mayday and Is , is an American electronic musician from Belleville, Michigan, United States. May is credited with pioneering techno music in the 1980s along with collaborators Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson, commonly known as The Belleville Three. Hardkiss is the group moniker of San Francisco electronic music pioneers Scott (who died on March 25, 2013), Gavin, and Robbie Hardkiss. The trio formed a record label called Hardkiss Music in San Francisco in 1991. Initially promoting underground raves and dance parties where they would DJ, with Hardkiss Music they began to produce and release a catalog of vinyl records which stirred international recognition and launched DJ and production careers. Scott Hardkiss (real name Scott Friedel) worked under the pseudonym ''God Within.'' Gavin Hardkiss works under the pseudonym ''Hawke.'' Robbie Hardkiss has worked under the pseudonym ''Little Wing.''
