Wade Koehl
Wade Koehl (born September 22, 1984) is a former American football player. While playing college football, he was a linebacker for the University of Houston 2003–2006. He subsequently signed for the New Orleans Saints 2007 and for Team Texas 2008. Koehl registered 300 tackles, was placed on the watch list for the Butkus Award and the Lombardi Award, and was a finalist for the Wuerffel Trophy and a semifinalist for the Draddy Award. Biography Koehl was born in Abilene, Texas to George and Diann Koehl, and grew up in Killeen, Texas. He recalled playing "a lot of football in the backyard" in Killeen, and boxing as well. Abilene ( ) is a city in Taylor and Jones Counties in Texas, United States. Its population was 125,182 at the 2020 census, making it the 27th-most populous city in the state of Texas. Conference USA
Conference USA (C-USA or CUSA) is an intercollegiate athletic conference whose current member institutions are located within the Southern United States. The conference participates in the NCAA's Division I in all sports. C-USA's offices are located in Dallas, Texas. History C-USA was founded in 1995 by the merger of the Metro Conference and Great Midwest Conference, two Division I conferences that did not sponsor football. However, the merger did not include either Great Midwest member Dayton or Metro members VCU and Virginia Tech. Liberty Bowl
The Liberty Bowl is an annual American college football bowl game played in late December or early January since 1959. For its first five years, it was played at Philadelphia Municipal Stadium in Philadelphia before being held at Atlantic City (New Jersey) Convention Hall in 1964. Since 1965, the game has been held at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium in Memphis, Tennessee. Because of the scheduling of the bowl game near the end of the calendar year, no game was played during calendar years 2008 or 2015, while two games were played in calendar years 2010 and 2016. The Miss Tennessee competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Tennessee in the Miss America Scholarship Competition. Lauren Dickson of Parsons was crowned Miss Tennessee 2022 on June 25, 2022 at the Cannon Center for the Performing Arts in Memphis, Tennessee. She competed for the title of Miss America 2023 at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut in December 2022. The National Honor Society (NHS) is a nationwide organization for high school students in the United States and outlying territories, which consists of many chapters in high schools. Selection is based on four criteria: scholarship (academic achievement), leadership, service, and character. The National Honor Society requires some sort of service to the community, school, or other organizations. The time spent working on these projects contributes towards the monthly service hour requirement. Midland High School (officially Midland Senior High School) is a public high school located in Midland, Texas and is part of Midland Independent School District. The original Midland High School was built in 1926 and was moved twenty-three years later to a new building in 1949 where it currently sits today. In recent years, Midland High School has received major renovations including complete asbestos removal and new West Wing that houses science, math, and social studies classroom.
