Wacker Von Wackenfels
Johannes Matthaeus Wacker von Wackenfels (1550–1619) was an active diplomat, scholar and author, with an avid interest in history and philosophy. A follower of Neostoicism, he sought to resolve the doubts he still had about his conversion to Catholicism, according to STUDIA RUDOLPHINA - Bulletin of the Research Center for Visual Arts and Culture in the Age of Rudolf II. He was born in Konstanz (Constance) in 1550 in a Lutheran Protestant family and studied in Strasbourg, Geneva and Padua. He was supported and promoted by Johannes Crato von Krafftheim, who put his way into the circle of Renaissance humanism in Northern Europe in Breslau. On Crato's and Hubert Languet's recommendation, he became tutor in noble houses. In 1574 he traveled from Vienna to Italy, where he met Jakob Monau and Fabier Ien de Dohna. The Wackers was an American folk rock band formed in 1970, out of another band, Roxy. Though short-lived the band was moderately successful, releasing three studio albums. Career Singer/songwriter Bob Segarini and multi-instrumentalist Randy Bishop disbanded Roxy and joined with singer-guitarist-keyboardist Michael Stull to form the new group in Eureka, California. Bassist Bill 'Kootch' Trochim and drummer Spencer Earnshaw completed The Wackers line-up to record the debut album ''Wackering Heights'', produced by Gary Usher. Following the success of the tracks "Travelin' Time" and "Body Go Round", the band toured Canada and the United States. The next year (1972), the band moved to Montreal, Canada around the time that they released their sophomore LP ''Hot Wacks'' to good reviews. A compactor is a machine or mechanism used to reduce the size of material such as waste material or bio mass through compaction. A trash compactor is often used by a home or business to reduce the volume of trash it produces. A baler-wrapper compactor is often used for making compact and wrapped bales in order to improve logistics. Normally powered by hydraulics, compactors take many shapes and sizes. The Wacker process or the Hoechst-Wacker process (named after the chemical companies of the same name) refers to the oxidation of ethylene to acetaldehyde in the presence of palladium(II) chloride as the catalyst. FSV Wacker 03 Gotha is a German association football club from the city of Gotha, Thuringia. History The roots of the club go back to the founding of ''Fußball-Club Einigkeit Gotha'' on 7 July 1907. Later that year they took on the name ''FC Wacker Gotha'' before becoming ''Sportverein Wacker Gotha''. In 1915, the club took part in the final rounds of the Mitteldeutsche Meisterschaft (Central German Championship) beating '' SpVgg Erfurt'' (3:0) before going out to '' Borussia Halle'' (0:1). FC Wacker München is a Football in Germany, German association football club of about 200 members based in the Sendling borough of Munich, Bavaria. At their zenith in the 1920s the ''Blue Stars'' twice reached the semi-finals of the German Championship. The SV Wacker Burghausen II is a defunct German association football club from Burghausen, Bavaria. It was the reserve team of SV Wacker Burghausen.
