W Motors is an Emirati sports car company founded in Lebanon in 2012, being the first developer of high-performance luxury sports cars in the Middle East. Based in Dubai, the company's activities include automotive design, research and development, as well as vehicle engineering and manufacture. W Motors also performs automotive consultancy within its Special Project Operations division. In addition to developing its own cars, W Motors developed the first vehicle for China-based sister company ICONIQ Motors — the ICONIQ Seven, a fully electric multipurpose vehicle. The Lykan HyperSport is a Lebanese limited-production sports car manufactured by W Motors, a United Arab Emirates-based company, founded in 2012 in Lebanon with the collaboration of Lebanese and Italian engineers. It is the first sports car to be designed indigenously in the Middle East; however, the bodywork, chassis and engine were all produced in Germany and assembled in Italy.
